I was gonna ignore a comment to my last post since somebody else had effectively handled it but it's actually a good lesson in critical thinking. So here goes:
My post:
"Teach your kids critical thinking so they don't idol-worship sociopathic liars"

The comment:
"You forgot to finish the sentence.
Teach your kids critical thinking so they don't idol-worship sociopathic liars like Garosero."

Lesson #1:
As user @God had pointed out, Garosero can hardly be called an idol according to the context of this discussion.

Lesson #2:
It doesn't matter whether people worship Garosero or not. It's a distraction. It doesn't change the fact that KSH is a sociopathic liar; that he, through Gold Medalist, denied his relationship with KSR, feeding her to intense cyberbullying. According to reports. he even paid a Youtuber to join in the bullying. This denial and the cyberbullying happened long before Garosero got involved in the issue. Garosero just raised the profile of this horrific display of sociopathic cruelty. Add to this the reports that KSH/GM had been harassing KSR to pay a 700 million won debt that she didn't know she owed. If it's true that she had other pressing financial obligations, KSR's cruelty is truly sadistic, pushing her to the edge. That she committed suicide on his birthday is quite telling.

Saw the following poster in a protest rally against a wannabe dictator:
"Teach your kids critical thinking so they don't elect sociopathic imbeciles"

Couldn't help transforming it into:
"Teach your kids critical thinking so they don't idol-worship sociopathic liars"

I just got reminded of why I don't engage with the following:
- those with no critical thinking ability
- starstruck idol-worshippers
- trolls, paid or not

I hate repeating myself over and over but above types of people will refuse to understand points that go against their agenda, attempting to cover-up issues with distractions.

Another lesson in critical thinking. Understand what you're responding to. For example, "Even IF the idol commits murder in broad daylight in the busiest street..." is NOT the same as "Even WHEN the idol commits murder in broad daylight in the busiest street..."

Why the emphass in critical thinking? Because propagandists target this ability to brainwash subjects. Even a great nation is currently in peril because citizens have been targeted by propagandists for decades. Critical thinking makes you less susceptible to fake news.

As for this topic, don't be distracted. Garosero's relevance is that he raised the profile of what happened. But any case against him is a distraction from the main issue which is:
KSH LIED when he denied KSR's claim regarding their relationship. His denial caused her to be intensely cyberbullied. She committed suicide on his birthday.

Note that Garosero has nothing to do with the main issue. Regardless of whether courts that have previously shown a tendency for misogyny declares KSH a ped*phile or not, he has already exposed his narcissism - he will LIE and do whatever it takes to cover his a$$.

Somebody with no critical thinking would say, "Both are celebrities", refusing to understand what the writer meant

Somebody with critical thinking would think: KSH's popularity dwarfs KSR's, whether domestic or internationally. Even in MDL, KSH has 17,154 hearts while KSR has 2,970. Many people who know KSH don't know KSR. I, myself, didn't know her before this scandal. That is, for some people, KSR is NOT a famous person thus NOT a celebrity (google the meaning of celebrity).

Obviously, the writer was referring to KSH as the celebrity, KSR as the victim. Reading other twitter comments before and after that comment proves this. Being PEDANTIC about the term "celebrity" is an attempt to EVADE the real issue.

Another lesson in critical thinking. KSH fed KSR to cyberbullies (denied what she said, did not defend her, even hiring a youtuber to fan the flames) to protect himself, proving himself to be a narcissist. He even admitted this in his cringey presscon. He has done this not only to KSR but to other artists as well (Sulli, Seo Yea Ji to name a few). Now that karma has turned the tables on him, he plays the victim. He's not a victim. He is REAPING WHAT HE SOWED. He sowed a lot more - pedophilia, extortion, among others - but I am mentioning one that doesn't need to be proven in court.

Note that narcissists are experts at playing the victim.

Alas, there seems to be an epidemic of extreme celebrity-worship worldwide. Not only in the entertainment industry, even in politics. Idol-worshippers will forgive their idols ANY fault. Even if the idol commits murder in broad daylight in the busiest street, his worshippers would find all sorts of excuses for him, even painting him out to be the victim when karma bites back.

So, those who think Saeron's justice seekers have quietened down because they have changed their minds, that's not the case. We've just realized it's useless and quite exasperating talking to idol-worshippers.

BTW, don't bother commenting if you're among the following that I don't want to waste my time on:
- no critical thinking ability
- starstruck idol-worshipper
- troll, paid or not

If you really didn't appreciate Eternal Love (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms), etc, and haven't gotten past the surface physicality, then it's not surprising that you're not enjoying gotd. COMEDY and WARMTH are only felt by those who let themselves be drawn into the characters and scenes, not merely trying to follow the story. That you have thoughts of being manipulated proves you haven't let yourself be drawn in. This happens to viewers who view a drama with a fault-finding mindset. Try to lose the critical attitude and you'd FEEL, thus ENJOY, dramas better.

If you think a funny, warm, well-acted, well-written, well-directed drama where a passionate ml fights for justice for the downtrodden, such as women being molested in ep 15, at the cost of his own life, is "barely watchable" by ep 16, drop it. It's not your type. There are many cheesy, even smutty, if that's more to your liking, romance-filled dramas that might be more to your taste.

Good point, advertisers and investors are the ultimate judge of this circus as they are more concerned about financial obligations and market reputation. It's mostly critical thinking for them; fallen-idol-worship should have no part in their business strategy. Otherwise, they won't thrive. Dropping a pervert as a face of their brand is the only wise option.

All the family of Kim Saeron wanted was for KSH to apologize. Though he fed her to cyberbullies just to save his project and harassed her to death for a debt, her mom asked the public NOT to push him to do what her daughter did. Yet he'd rather create this circus than do the only thing the family asked for. I guess narcissists truly are incapable of sincerely apologizing.

To the hopelessly misguided who still support this obviously perverted individual, don't bother commenting. You're among the following that I don't want to waste my time on:
- no critical thinking ability
- starstruck idol-worshipper
- troll

Proving absence of critical thinking, KSH defenders would totally ignore the 1st part of my 2nd sentence and ask, "apologize for what?"

The confidence with which KSH/GM are filing lawsuits now smells fishy. It's as if they (KSH/GM) planted that informant.

At least LMH is not always nominated for best actor. In fact, I feel he's underrated.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about his fluke achievements. It has been a mystery to me why he was always nominated for best actor with his overacting performances. Turns out, money and power get you far in S Korea.

In the novel, it’s just one body, with two personalities, not two bodies as depicted in the drama.

I normally don't engage with ksh supporters. It's a waste of time talking to idolaters and trolls as critical thinking is a foreign concept to them. Thus, they’re prone to make nonsensical assumptions such as that Sae Ron's justice seekers depend on tabloids and other sources of fake news to think for them, as if ksh’s own lies and actions such as his cringey presscon don’t expose him enough if one is not blinded by idol-worship.

I just want to make this clear:
I didn't know Sae Ron until this scandal broke. I just want ksh to face accountability for what he did that led to her fatal action. That there are other victims of his cruelty - Sulli and other artists he used and fed to cyberbullies - is a testament to the need for rich and influential people, who have been coddled by a justice system that bows to money and power, to stop mistreating others.

'Just to let you know I appreciate your sensible arguments. I, myself, don't engage in pro-ksh accounts. He hired many troll/water armies, professionals at gaslighting, brainwashing and wearing others down. It's mostly a waste of time to engage with them, unless you have unlimited time.

I understand he hired teams of troll/water armies. Thats why I avoid engaging with pro-KSH accounts. They're either idolaters or trolls. In either case, it's a waste of time talking to them.

For a while it seemed like disinformation was going to rule the internet and that more and more people would eventually fall for it. But there are signs that critical thinking is still intact in many and that blindness may be cured. As with the case of a well-known political figure whose blind supporters are now seeing his lies and corruption when they see their retirement savings dwindling, grocery bills rising and wars that the fraudster had promised to end on day one persisting, not to mention the fraudster becoming a dictator, those possessing or regaining critical-thinking cannot unsee holes in the propaganda machine the KSH team has unleashed on the internet. His own lies have condemned him and his own dark deeds are further exposing his depravity.

And didn't KSH/GM hire Lee Jin Ho to smear her then?

If this is true, then Saeron was a saint for not spilling this information even when she was being cyberbullied. And KSH, GM and LJH are beyond evil for smearing the reputation of an innocent dead person. This is what I find most repulsive about what KSH has been doing - maligning somebody who can't defend herself. All his other mistakes, even his lies, can't compare to this despicable dearth of common decency.

It makes sense. Their lack of critical thinking could explain why they have primitive laws regarding the treatment of women and children in their society. I guess they're too focused on theories and numbers to achieve technological advancement, they have relegated such matters as compassion and social justice to the background. I hope this scandal pushes this issue to the forefront and makes them realize that having such unjust laws against women and children, not to mention having such a competitive environment, could be a cause of their declining population problem. Who would want to live in a stifling environment like that. And who would want to bring a child into such an environment?
