guys! I can’t! I’m so unable to complete this drama. I watched 8 episodes but I can’t go any further. Esther…
Hot take: skip straight to the Nanjing arc (Idr the episode.. maybe 20?) and see if you like her mature version. If you still don’t like that, then drop the drama. If you like it, just watch the Thailand eps casually and wait until the nanjing arc to start focusing
Cuz the broadcast period was like a week with no variety shows besides Thai Sweet 🤬
And then if she DOES get a good seat, haters will say it’s because a lot of other celebrities already confirmed they weren’t attending, so Weibo chose to give it to her as backup or smth 🤣

Yeah my feelings about her attending Weibo night is a bit mixed. She got a lot of hate this year, and if Weibo gives her a bad seat (like the further back the “worse”), her antis will use that against her too. I wanna see her at public events like you, but at this point, I rather her focus her energy on filming her new drama and promoting her upcoming one Road To Success. Nothing will shut the haters up more than her success!

Yeah I feel like I didn’t get enough closure even tho we got so many fluff scenes of the leads being tgt after they reunited. I seriously felt like I went through a breakup after the show ended so quickly, but I’m better now lol (still watching new BTS as they pop up tho)
To me, the leads are one of the most three dimensional characters I’ve watched in recent memory, but to each…
Yeah… and I feel like with how egotistical and disdainful of humans she has become over the centuries, the most heart wrenching ending arc for her character would be to sacrifice her own life for the ML.
But I think as long as the ending makes sense and is well executed, I’ll be ok with a sad ending 😭

Yep! Both feel innately good but became who they are today partly as a reflection of what society has done to them. I feel like this drama will have more commentary on human nature in future eps.
I only commented to provide a diff POV, in case prospective watchers are reading the comments trying to decide whether to watch or not 😅
Please don't come for me but I think this is yet another drama where the rating is generous. Personally, I don't…
Eh I see where you’re coming from. But I think if Mumu found her own happiness, she prob wouldn’t return to Nanjing since her mom is in Canada, she went to college in Canada, and her dad is in Thailand. So the way I interpreted is, JZ set up a life in Nanjing for Mumu to “fall back” on, if she didn’t find happiness elsewhere, he’ll always be here for her. And then once she came back to nanjing, he continued to pull away from her cuz he was insecure. But he still sent mixed signals (in your words “leading her on”) cuz he loves her haha. But I see where you’re coming from and I hope no one comes after you for voicing your opinions based on a pretty reasonable interpretation
