Personally, I think the way ChenYanYun​ in​ the​ very​ first​ second​ that​ he​ turned away​ JinZhao, (despite​ he saw JinZhao's face before she fell into the water.) but looked seemed like he didn't​ want​ to​ help​ JinZhao. Perhaps​ first​ thought it was because he didn't want to reveal his dark side to anyone (referencing the reason given in the 18minute special​ episode).

But in the next moment, he quickly jumped into the river to save JinZhao. I believe it was because he couldn't ignore an innocent life, whether the girl drowning was JinZhao or not, he would definitely save.

The character ChenYanYun is portrayed with very strong ideals.
