I think you could be right about those repeated misunderstandings being intentional. Some do have setup where issues seem resolved, all is done and dusted and they suddenly kick off again as if nothing happened.
eh. my engagement levels were very low for this show and i thought the only positive thing i was going to mention was ... voice actors. they were brilliant. i dont speak chinese but there were a few moments where i was like "oh ... hang on, i know that voice ... whatever it is just keep talking :D".
As for the rest, well the story is definitely not my usual watch so I can't hate on it for that. Although, some things felt like a satire alright.
Gao Han was good, MZY was good, emperor brilliant and I managed to get a few (wrong) laughs out of it so overall result is positive. Anyway, it's over.

Well, "different strokes " and all that jazz but MZY was excellent as Mu Nian Ci & she was great in "Blossom". I'm still around e20 now and had no issues with story or the cast. TBut I feel something is off with pacing of scenes and I find it hard to binge. So even if some other actress was there I doubt it would solve that issue. That said I'm not a pro, just my experience anyway.,
