I thought this would be more educational lol. I expected more focus on the steps of lovemaking and how the young guy would learn to reach his goal xD ,but it felt more like a normal gay curiosity love story.

I watched a Japanese drama with a similar theme, Ladies on Top (2026), but it was about a straight couple. The man was interested in A-sex, and I think it explored the topic better.

It’s cute, but I can’t shake the feeling that the young guy looks and acts underage, while the other guy seems much older. I know the story is supposed to have an age difference, I know they’re both adults. Just saying.
The first episode was cute, but I think I’ll pass for now. (((^_^;)

Fair enough. But I really enjoyed Poom’s acting.
Yes, hopefully we hear about them having a new series soon <3

Just a warning: MSI is a bit toxic, but I think it worked well in the writing.

The main story had so much potential. We have Saithan, a free spirited guy who has lots of one night stands. It's basically just him and his dating app or should I say, hookup app. xD

However, he has a dark and traumatic past, and I was really interested to see how they would show what happened to him and how he started to heal. Unfortunately, it was badly written and directed. The trauma was treated too lightly, and his ex-boyfriend was really not it. :) The acting wasn't convincing, although that could also be because of poor direction.

Then we have Sila, a hardworking guy who somehow felt guilty toward his late father because he couldn't communicate well with him. I think his storyline was handled much better overall.

But hey, what is a Thai or Asian drama without horrible parents? Maenmueang's dad is really something else.

There were also so many plot holes. It was a drama with good intentions, but the execution just wasn't there.

The only thing that truly stood out was the chemistry between the leads. I would love to see them together again in a better written and better produced series.

A lot of the stuff happen outside the bar (like 70% ?), so don’t worry
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it! I'll give it a watch soon. Thanks again! <3

So, what percentage% of the drama is filmed in the host club, vs. What takes place outside of it? Now that all the episodes are out, I'm even more excited to see the dynamic between the leads outside the club. Please tell me!
If most of the drama is set around the club, I'll probably move it down on my watchlist lol. It'll still stay on the list, but I'll wait until I'm in the right mood for it. (^^;

If you guys like relationship focused stories that aren't overly explicit, I recommend Ladies on Top (2026) It's about straight couple and was a really fun watch. '-'

It's amazing how the Japanese adaptation turned an 18+ story into something so sweet, heartfelt and emotional lol. I'd love to see a Season 2.
And now it's time to say goodbye to Kaji Akihiro and Fukami Yu. <3

This is the best comment, and I completely agree: you can only truly judge a drama after watching it yourself. <3

Done watching. It was good and ended well. Yes, it started toxic, but I can see why the ratings are high because there was good character development, an apology, and an explanation.
Everyone has different beliefs and limits on what they can forgive, but I think the leads were written perfectly.
I just want the best for Joe. Ming still needs therapy though. He had character growth, but I worry he still wouldn’t handle pressure well if life gets hard again.
Great drama and amazing acting. I recommend it :)

This isn’t the most toxic drama I’ve seen from Thai productions, and that includes the straight dramas too…
Yes at least Joe knows Ming’s behavior is toxic, but from the comments it looks like he somehow forgives him… I’m curious to see how that happens. Yes, I did take a break and will come back to it later xD. I’m not into toxic relationships either, but I do like character growth. Also, this is my first Up&Poom drama and they’re amazing. I’ll be logging off for now. I hope you’re enjoying the shows you’re watching. Have a great day <3

Hahaha your reply made me laugh, thanks xD I probably should’ve given myself time to recover before starting MSI lol especially after Thai drama Whisper of Desire 2026 messed with my mind too, the FL deserved so much better. Now seeing Joe struggle, I’m totally traumatized for them lol. But I like that MSI it doesn’t romanticize the toxic behavior (at least so far). Taking a break for now, but seriously, MSI is a must watch for the amazing acting from the two leads <3

I’m starting to appreciate the 13minute format more because nothing feels wasted they go straight into the dialogue. Episode 8 is intense. That Kaji flashback… wow what terrible parents. No wonder he grew up so emotionally distant. :(

Poom Phuripan as Joe is incredible. His emotions and eye acting are insane. His eyes deserve their own paycheck lol <3
