funny but weird
I really like Esther's acting in her previous drama, but this time I can't enjoy her acting, especially the early part of the episode when she was hurt by a friend who claimed her work. Her emotions are just like that. ONE OF MY COMFORT DRAMA!
The story in this dama is very simple, but the script is very interesting and flows naturally. It's slow but steady, and it's very heart-pounding to watch.The story is easy to understand and predictable, but also full of little unexpected details. These details make me really appreciate the production team and cast for making this drama!
I didn't know that I could cry over Sangzhi's heartbreak at his first love for Jiaxu, Zhao Lusi's acting here really surprised me. Especially when I saw the changes between Sangzhi as a teenager and as an adult, it was so different.
Even the way they smile is different! I was left gaping again at Zhao Lusi's level of acting.
Chen Zhe Yuan's acting is also good!
This is the first time I've seen the drama. His eyes really speak and this is another small detail that makes the drama more interesting.

A beautiful story, acting, cinematography
I had no idea that I would like this drama and gave it an 8.I've been wanting to watch this drama for a long time because it talks about cooking, but I'm still hesitant because I watched Xukai's drama Snow Eagle Lord, his performance in that drama was not satisfactory.
Last week I tried watching episode 1 and it turned out to be interesting. I really liked it since episode 1.
the visuals in the drama are very beautiful. What I mean by visual is not about beauty or good looks the casts, but about cinematography, color tones, props in drama, editing, acting and other things.
I also really like the storyline which is built strongly in the first episode, very sequential and even though the story development is slow, it is orderly and clear.
The actors' acting is also good, from the main players to the small roles, it feels like they can describe the content of the drama. I like Xukai in this drama, he is very good at playing his role. I think this is the best drama of his that I have watched. His aura as a prince, crown prince and then emperor was very palpable.
Wu Jin Yan's acting is also good, I can feel her emotions and how her chemistry with Xukai is even though in the first episode they never even met. but the drama makes the chemistry between the two very beautiful. Unfortunately, the make up she puts on makes her look older than Xukai, who in the drama is older than her.
Wu Jin Yan's make-up just felt right when she wore her appointment clothes as grand concubine. I like her make-up there because it's beautiful and makes her look fresh.
The ending of the story is also beautiful and logical, to the point where I don't feel willing to part with this drama because it is beautiful in all aspects.
but I don't think I can watch this drama again. because it doesn't make the impression that you have to watch this drama again. As for the music, I don't remember the ost, but I enjoyed the traditional music played in the drama

the female lead's acting
Everything looks great—I’d probably give it an 8.5—but there is one crucial issue for me: the female lead's acting.I have no complaints about the OST, visual effects, editing, or anything else. I actually enjoyed watching every episode because the story was good and kept me hooked.
However, the female lead's acting felt a bit odd and didn't quite match the character's portrayal. Perhaps the novel depicts her as having a humorous side and somewhat poor posture, but since I haven't read the book, I have to critique Yuxiao's posture in the drama; she lacked the upright bearing and commanding presence one would expect. Her character holds the title of "God of War"—rigorous training should have shaped her physique, even if she wasn't heavily muscled—yet Yuxiao's performance didn't reflect that. I also hope she works on her facial expressions, as the emotions sometimes didn't quite come through. Her lip movements didn't always align precisely with the emotions being conveyed. While I acknowledge she has good articulation—even without opening her mouth wide or being overly expressive—it still came across as stiff.
I absolutely loved her acting in *My Journey to You* because it felt just right; I even adored her character back then. So, please don't think I dislike Yuxiao.

I don't know what kind of story this is or how the story goes, but I watched until the endThe beginning of the story was very slow and boring, I almost stopped watching it in episode 1. Episode 2 was quite interesting but the story was really slow. I can't wait to see how the story will develop but it only revolves around meaningless conflicts.

the scream
what I remember when watching this drama is all the actors screaming!it really made me dizzy when I watched it.
it's boring to see them arguing over the same and unnecessary issue. The plot of the story keeps repeating itself and this makes you bored.
but I like the chemistry between Hanni and Kwak Siyang in this drama. they acted very well and made me want to continue watching this drama.
but my head really hurts from hearing their screams, luckily there is no romance plot like idol dramas in general which are already boring.

another my comfort drama with criminal genre(?)
I remember the first time I watched this drama I was bored and confused, but then I was very happy to have found this drama because it was rarely talked about.I watched it right after it ended so I could finish it in two days.
The role I thought was evil turned out to be good and there were many unexpected things in this drama. I really liked the unpredictable dynamics of the story, and the comedy was natural and very funny.
Unfortunately, the ending for one of the characters was unsatisfying even though it made sense too.
Their acting is also good especially with the well-written tone! I was amazed by the unexpected comedy that emerged from the characters. Even though this story only focuses on prison, it's not boring!
You can watch 3 episodes first, it's difficult at first but this drama is worth trying!

I was really curious about who the real killer
This drama is good, the beginning of the story is very interesting and until the end I was really curious about who the real killer was.The story is very interesting as it engages between the past and the future with a unique crime genre. In addition, I was also frustrated at the end of the episode because the perpetrator of the crime was really difficult to find evidence even though it was in plain sight.
As usual, I always forget about the music and ost when watching crime dramas hahahaha because I'm too focused on the content.

I wonder why the main female character's clothing style is really unattractive? I know her character was created as someone simple, but that doesn't align with the image built in the drama. Because simple doesn't mean it doesn't look attractive.the color of the clothes is very flat for Bailu's character.
I often find things like this in Chinese dramas and it makes me keep cursing the drama stylist, because I see the male characters' clothes are fine.
Even though the clothing brand is expensive, if the colors and combination are not good, this will make it unattractive on screen. Don't forget Bailu's hair style, why not try to make it look more professional like the other characters?

boring
I like the theme of the story which starts with the apartment paradox. but then I felt bored before even getting to the middle of the film.2 hours for a storyline like this gets boring. I did a lot of skipping just to find out the important points and it turns out it's not a problem to do it.
As for the visual effects, I admit it is very good, the make up of the actors down to the small details is also good, the acting is beyond doubt. but it's the storyline that's the problem.
because it lacks depth and is just like a flash of something that is not necessary. but I enjoyed it.

wth with the rest after ep 28
I watched this drama until episode 28, or maybe I’ve forgotten which episode exactly. The important thing is that it was around the time when the First Prince’s enemy finally died. But after that, the conflict became so confusing that it honestly felt like the writer had completely run out of ideas, or something like that.I really didn’t like how foolishly the First Prince gave up his position and power just because of his ambition to become a general. At that point, the palace and the country actually needed someone capable of becoming an emperor. I think that could have been the potential for a really good story, instead of turning it into another storyline where the First Prince gets betrayed again.
He already knew that his father was dying, and yet he still allowed the Empress to remain in her position even though it was obvious that she held a grudge against him. After that, I really started to hate the First Prince’s younger sister, the princess. I don’t even know whether I should call her stupid or what. 😂
But characters like that always seem to exist in Chinese dramas—characters who are incredibly foolish, completely unable to read the situation, and somehow manage to ruin everything in the story. I feel like this is quite common in Chinese dramas.
I have no problem with the acting or anything else. My only problem is that the story became extremely unrealistic and made very little sense after episode 28 until the end. It also made the First Prince seem irresponsible, which I really didn’t like.
Anyway, i could only give this drama a 7/10 because the story is the most important part of a drama for me, and unfortunately, the storyline is what ruined the overall experience.

couldn't focus watching this drama
I couldn't focus watching this drama because it felt so empty. the drama has a story that is meant to have an exciting atmosphere, but FL's acting doesn't get to me. I don't think there is any chemistry with ML.I watched this drama until the end but barely remember what happened in it. What I remember most is the celebration of ML passing the state exam.

wth with the editing
I really like Zhao Lusi, I have watched almost all of her dramas, but for this drama I realized it was something I didn't like.In terms of story, it's fine, good and I think this is an interesting story. The actors' acting is also good, although there are some that I don't like. but the editing and visual effects are really messy. the first 3 episodes were still good, but the next episode made me question whether I should continue watching it or not.
Actually, I've been unsure about the visual effects of the drama since the first poster was published. Very unattractive poster with edits that make Zhao Lusi's face look unattractive in the poster even though this is her first Xianxia drama.
the poster thing gets better when the drama is about to air. but it turns out that the effects of bad editing even reached the final episode.
the editing means the beautiful dresses of the actors are not highlighted. when there is an important scene but the focus is on other things.

skipped a lot of scenes
I'm waiting for season 2 because I'm really curious about what will happen next. but watching episode one made me bored and forgot about it. then continued again but I skipped a lot of scenes because there were too many things that weren't important but it turned out that the content of the story could still be understood. I liked the ending but apart from that I forgot everything that happened at the beginning of the episode. In fact, I was most impressed with the ending from Xiang Liu's side. The story in Xiang Liu's part is always concise and there is good chemistry with Xiao Yao.but I bought 7.5 for the acting, ending and also the beautiful visual effects
