I think episode 8 was the backstory of how they got separated and he came to have a daughter. I believe in the upcoming episodes we’ll see how they try to refute their fate with the help of their children in the future.
Its just my theory

I really hope they get another chance to overcome their cruel fate and live a happy life together. A’Xun’s selfless love and Hai Tang’s loyalty are the best parts of this drama for me (at episode 8).

I am crying inside 😭 Please give another chance for redemption.

I thought I missed something, but yeah I suspected him first when he encounters the little prince.

Oh I haven’t notice that he is a fake yet, then everything makes sense.

Yeah it will be a tough battle , and there is still a lot of things going to happen.
Villian will be either the Emperor or 2nd Prince, the emperor is suspicious as he have a motive to kill , and the way he acts after hearing it.
Also the “heavenly way Cult “ is in the dark we don’t know if they will take action against our leads, i hope everyone would get the karma they deserve.

I think this drama was produced specifically for people like me, that’s just how I feel when watching every second of this drama, because I can only dream of watching a drama that packed all of these features together.

This drama is one of my all time favourite in terms of character and story development, and overall.
