It felt like the romance also got pushed aside too. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get much romance between Baek Doo and Du-Sik until the final episode. the kiss was very awkward .They honestly should have done 16 episodes . Murder mystery felt like it got added late into the script to make the show more interesting, It could have been better resolved

Maybe the show would have benefited from 4 more episodes it felt rushed a bit towards the end.

I noticed this with Welcome to Samdalri too. It noticed its only the older shows that bothered to hire younger actors to play teen versions of characters. If they're going to be this cheap why bother doing flashbacks.
