I don't know why but most of the recent dramas from the past half year seem to pick up from the 4th episode after being boring for 3 episodes. I don't like it. In the past the pilot episode was one of the most interesting episodes and the ratings went downwards after that. Now the ratings seem to go upwards from the 4th episode.
In many old promotional videos for Blissoo, her brother's name is mentioned. If it were another idol, they would…
Yes!! other idols would've been removed from their groups. Just look at Soo-jin of (G)-idle even though she was found not guilty at the end. This isn't Jisoo's fault though she isn't the one responsible and people should stop trying to drag her name through the mud for actions she didn't commit.
Unless there is proof of her supporting her brother's action in any way she should not be held accountable. Her brother is a grown man, he can take the legal responsibilities that come with his actions. Is it jealous of their success or something eles but korean media and k-netizens in general seem to love dragging celebrities through the mud at the drop of a hat even without any proof.
I swear, the Thai cinemedia industry absolutely hates women. The boys made some silly choices, yes, but the girls…
I'm on episode 2, when those two guys were fighting and she's like "Welcome to the macho man shit show" and "In zombie movies when someone does something stupid, it's the extra that pay the price." She's sooo cool. Also, Ning broadcasting their location over the PA system is just stupid.
In episode 6, when Karina slipped and fell down while running from the infected my first thought was "Oh!! the trope of a beautiful woman falling down in critical moments that occurs in movies is true". LMAO.
The BELOW 45KG weight standard is so unhealthy, and to think that some actors are tall! That would make them underweight.…
"The camera adds 10 pounds" excuse is just old and completely bullshit in modern times. If not for the ridiculously beauty standards chinese fans put on their idols it wouldn't matter so much.
The companies work them to the bone as long as their popularity lasts, there is very little down time and they just want to make as much money as possible before the actresses fame fades. Not to mention the inhuman beauty standards and the high stress with very little privacy.
The only reason I didn't give this a 9 (I gave it a 8) is because it is damn draggy. There is just too much avoidance between the characters and they keep finding things out from other people (mainly ML's sister). I would've given more screen time to the second leads they were very interesting and mature about how they went about their relationship. I would've loved to see more of them. The third leads were kinda weird but consider they are high schoolers thats alright. It took 24 episodes to just get a confession and everything was just left to fate instead of talking it through. Also there was no point for the idol friend of the FL he didn't do anything he wasnt even an obstacle (There is no need for obstacles in this drama).
No hate for the actress, it could just be for her character set up in the drama, but she is extremely boring as…
The dramas is boring but i doubt its the actresses fault, the script is just damn draggy. Even as someone who has a preference for chill dramas without dramatics, this was boring. They could remove 5 episodes and make it significantly more interesting. OR keep the same screen time and give more screen time to the second leads they were significantly more mature and interesting than the main characters. Even the third leads could be given more screentime.
It always makes me laugh, i just don't care how cultural it is, if you let your parents dictate your life while…
I'm not saying that parents should have a major say in their childrens relationships but you under estimate the amount of pull parents have in their childrens lives in Asian cultures. Filial piety is a deeply rooted concept in Asian culture and any mention of deviating from that value could potentially ruin their careers. Not to mention the emotional blackmail and gaslighting parents do.
In Asian culture, most of the social networks are inherited from parents to children, word spreads fast and standing out makes you a target for ridicule or worse get you isolated from social networks that could be crucial for your career. TV series are a mirror of reality most of the time.
All of this is based on the ancient value that the "collective is more important than the individual". Thus the saying a marriage is a union of two families".
Independence in relationships is a Western concept that is relatively new to Asian culture . Of couse these are changing but it takes a very long time to change cultures that are 2 millennia old.
