I'm on episode 8 and the intro to her dark side is amazing, very well acted out. The conversation between her and her uncle and aunt was hilarious. Amen with a 'Fuck You' HILARIOUS.
I really like how they portrayed the dangers of full dive virtual reality technology and how it can really create a disconnect between you and reality by completely removing the risk factor. . There are quite a few cyberpunk novels where virtual reality addiction is very much a real thing and from seeing how everyone is already addicted to smart phones and even dependent on them, full dive virtual reality technology would true make society go dark. Why live in the real world when you can live in a world where your needs are met without any risk.
episode 6 was hilarious. I mean she found that her AI boyfriend did the same scenes with 12K+ women and her ideal type was the guy who confessed liking her and the one she was avoiding is just hilarious. LMAO. Edit: Episode 6 just keeps giving, the fight between the authors made me roll laughing.
The ending was very lackluster. The way the bad guy died or even the way she came back and just hid from him for an entire year. It just felt boring. Maybe it would've been better to make it a 16 episode series and explore these plotlines better.
It's a extremely sterile and logical review. As if a psycologist reviewed it. Now I won't be able to see this drama in the same way again. If we follow your logic, the drama would've ended at the second/third episode when she complained to her friend about their hygene and it gets leaked over by the microphone. LMFAO.
I never thought about all these points at all. I think 99% of people never think about these at all. Most of the things done in kdramas if done in real life would atleast get you slapped or in the worst case get you arrested or sent to prison.
I can agree with a few points if not all of them. It really irked me when she slapped or kicked him trying to hide their relationship. Still I like it because I don't read too much into it. Otherwise it would ruin my day or even week.
On the other hand I think that this shows the dual nature of humans (to some extent). People by nature are dick heads and at the same time are kind or have the ability to be kind. They are shaped by their experiences and rarely are black and white. There are no perfect humans.
Made In Korea aggregate on MDL 7.3. MDL Aggregate of the below :1. Can This Love be Translated 8.4 2. Good Boy…
People generally like something less serious. Super serious dramas without a hint of romance generally have a lower rating than rom-coms or even serious dramas with romance. People generally want to relax while watching not dissect plot points and predict what's going to happen next. Also, you can't take the ratings on MDL too seriously, even extremely good dramas have lower rating for some reason.
love that koreans make a show with a female yakuza member even tho the real yakuza kinda doesnt have women.. epecially…
There are a few, just extremely rare. Women aren't that rare in the Yakuza, the just don't become main members hold real power. In reality, women have peripheral, yet significant, supportive roles rather than power within the hierarchy. It just a fictional character and a fictional story they can write what they want.
dramas are fictional , but in a modern drama there should be realism ..in modern drama , if the chairman , ceo…
I think this drama takes into consideration the cultural aspects of Korea. In Korea, famous and powerful people/families are scrutinized to almost an insane degree. They have next to no privacy and every move they make is audited by the public. Search up celebrity dating scandals or affairs of powerful people in Korea.
Also, for publicly listed companies, rivals can use social media to drive the stock price down (There's a reason companies have large PR teams). For companies, reputation is of the utmost importance since their stock price depends on it and it is even more so in conservative cultures like Korea.
All they had to do to make this a better or typical story line was to reduce the number of breakups and misunderstanding!! Like damn the breakups were too many and made no damn sense even with explanations. I was screaming at the screen all the time "Please communicate more, you just need to talk". The only thing that made me watch the visuals . Won Jian's visuals were just simply stunning and the costumes for this dramas were impeccable. Still I had to skip a lot or watch in 2x speed just to keep my sanity about. Rated this a 7.
Episode 5 staring was hilarious. The way he kept interrupting her ex-husband or the way he kept teasing her by wanting to stay in her house to help with her alcholism was hilarious.
I'm watching it for the second time and I just cringed when he asked her "are you waiting for me" in front of all their high school friends in episode 20. SECOND HAND EMBARRASSMENT!!
I rated this an 8 as opposed to higher because, personally, I would've liked it better if the focus was on the exploration of the Turquoise land rather than the conflict between earth fiends and the south mountains hunters. The turquoise land appears only the last few episodes and for some reason is red in rather than turquoise in color.
Edit: Episode 6 just keeps giving, the fight between the authors made me roll laughing.
