One Question: The grandma says that the daughter of 2nd sister is a Rong descendant who she would have taken to…
it all happened in another place (Fuzhou, if I remember correctly). The girl was born there and entrusted to her father/YX's lover). YX returned as nothing happened, father and daughter followed and opened a tea shop at Linji.
Honestly, the grandma is the real villain here. She’s poisoning everyone with negativity, and at this rate,…
I've also thought the same thing. But I was referring to the logic of the plot: this story can't have a HE for the leads unless she is taken down, deprived of her power and possibility to emotionally manipulate the FL. If not for her involvement in smth shaddy (which is also punishable by family law: "Rong members cannot commit crimes or ruin family reputation") connected with this case, she must do smth utterly deplorable and exposable for this story to end well and she is removed from the picture
btw I wouldn't wonder if she re-written family rules in a way best-fitting for her personally. And that she is…
yes, I imagine it gonna be hard to make her step down 😂👍 But I remember (heh, my brain of a former employee of law firms) there's a rule in Rong family which forbids the family members "to commit crimes and to ruin the family reputation".... She is a person able to do both and get exposed. Is she above the family law?
just "partly to blame"? 😂 She is the main antagonist in the whole story. Emotional and power manipulator…
2nd sis mentioned a rule that the heiress must pass a sort of honing through the rivalry and competition with sisters. And I think the old hag invented that rule because it fits her interests.
Wen Can is childish and annoying! His "love" for RSB is a selfish kind. Imo, Grandma Rong is partly to…
btw I wouldn't wonder if she re-written family rules in a way best-fitting for her personally. And that she is also the cause why the entire mid-generation is missing in that house. I wouldn't wonder even if she has smth to do with the evil officials (those higher than prefect Xu) connected with the "Yang case" She is vicious, evil, pure evil and must be taken down, otherwise this drama can't have a HE

I was telling that since the early eps... I wouldn't wonder if she has even smth to do with the evil officials (those higher than prefect Xu) connected with the "Yang case" ...

just "partly to blame"? 😂 She is the main antagonist in the whole story. Emotional and power manipulator N°1. Ofc. she plays them one against another, she actually educates them to be as they are as a leverage against the FL, who is more of a multitasking slave she tortures daily in different ways. A resented old hag, hope she'll have a horrible death.
I wondered which children or grandchild was from that deceptive grandfather…But Grandma Rong making RSB take…
that oath wasn't just scary. Grandma (again) exercised her authority and RSB's emotional weakness in front of her to pass down on her her own unhappiness and to lifelong bind her to a total (w)Rong slavery. And again, RSB was too weak to oppose her and her insanity...
Let's recap how the story we are so addicted to progressed today. 1. We've finally got a sort of explanation for grandma's unsound behaviour. As she never stopped to resent betrayal of her first love, she ought to assure her successor will be her clone: an unhappy, resented, viscious hag like she is. The rule that a heiress must pass a heavy competition trial with her sisters, being simultaneously burdened with all the responsibilities was probably invented by her and never existed before. In that way, she can continue to do nothing and dedicate all her time to her own inner demons, whose company she enjoys the most. Inaction interrupted by theatrical acting angry bc FL kept hidden from her the 6th granddaughter was still alive. She certainly prefers opera plays to planning what to do next. She trained a slave (whom she even forced to wow for a lifelong servitude and unhappiness in the ancestral hall) to deal with trivialities, can't be bothered with Yangs or messy problems... Besides, why would she coordinate with a slave? 2. As we've already forshadowed yesterday, FL also has her share of responsibility. While she is usually 10 steps ahead when it comes to business and dealings with the outsiders, she is 10 steps behind to send her cousin Wen back to his home, to protect herself first and manage emotions with cool head, to confront her Grandma... But I still rely on her intelligence and awareness that house is still full of vipers of both genders. Could she have really so hastily decide to marry (without letting know even to the groom) ignoring someone would certainly act to hinder it? 3. I feel releaved LJL finally got out, truly couldn't stand that mansion anymore. Impatiently waiting to see how will he deal with the case, prefect, governor... and yes, that mentor (why is he a Xu, too? Is it the same character?) of his. The change of tune came at the right moment bc the one playing in the Rong mansion became redundant, even a bit annoying.
I usually avoid trailers, bc they are often cut in a way to trick the viewers. Besides, these two are scheming from the 1st ep, what we see in trailer could always be part of their pretending/staging in sync, so why bother? The only thing we know - bc it's logical - is that he must restore his previous identity, otherwise he'll be killed. He is an upright official and for the FL, who beside handling the mess in her mannor and will be forced to handle the disaster with business as well, has Mrs Yang/Wan'er's nanny to protect while her own kin is around trying to silence her for good. If I were her, I'd prefer to entrust the solution of this cold case/hot potato to the imperial inspector who btw loves me.
LJL already revealed himself to his enemies. That prefect in particular, who tried to kill him for the 2nd time, using the same person who is now detained in the Rong's mansion. Ofc he must return to his identity, otherwise he'll be killed for good. He is still there only bc the FL is ill at the moment, and a bit instable physically and emotionally and a natural disaster is knocking on the door of the tea plantation... otherwise he'll be already out of the mess in that mansion. And ofc, the leads will be separated, lets' just hope they are prepared and in sync to assign the cold case to the imperial inspector he is.
The jealous cousin has overstayed his welcome. He needs to throw himself off the cliff.
Don't say that, whoever throws him/herself off the cliff in c-dramas survives and comes back even stronger. A more annoying WC would be truly unbearable
Very well said. I wish he would ask her about it directly and tell her what happened. She's a family head and…
If it's any consolation, we know they must separate anyways: they've detained prefect's people in the mansion, people sent by the prefect to kill him, btw the same person who attempted to his life before so - if she wants LJL to stay alive - he must restore his original identity asap. She knows all that as well she knows the Yang senior is not in the house for nothing offering the other twin in marriage and that they probably know about the bead bracelet (which is still missing) and that they are after Mrs Yang hidden by her - so sooner or later she'll be found, better by an imperial inspector than Mrs Yang's kin who wants to silence her for good. It's true that by showing off himself in public he brought the FL to a fait accompli, but the FL brought ML to fait accompli more than once and he didn't bat an eye, so I suppose she'll do the same. Imo, he had enough talk with her, they've truly seemed like husband and wife in that moment, so there's no need to furtherly touch her emotional issues (it may be counterproductive and open some of her old wounds) bc they are only hers and the most particular among these issues is her relationship with her granny, the power game played by the old lady RSB must confront sooner or later. Even in real life romantic relationship is often unwise to press on issues which can be perceived as "meddling" in stuff regarding one partner's original family. They have more pressing and concrete problems to address and better be in sync and have a plan in advance. I've thought we would have moved today to his original background and identity, didn't expect we'll still be stuck with granny and "sisters" breathing the stuffy air of the Rong mansion and with a natural calamity approaching the plantation...
And he told her well: she doesn't know how to keep in check her sisters. They are unruly bc their grandma never…
yup. The girls are like that bc of grandma who truly thinks she has a leverage over RSB if they constantly question or undermine RSB's authority. I don't know if grandma is stupid, unaware that - opposed to RSB - she just holds a handful of air or just bluffing in a poker game while having bad cards...

Lawyers may have that unpleasant attitude

As for scholar Bai... I distrust even him
The person n°2 I trust is FL's chief maid
