Fun fact: both of sons were the emperor in the long ballad drama. prince Tan is the father of li chang ge (dilireba),…
I've written a review on the Rise of Ning, giving 7 as overall mark (only rewatch value for me is 1, check it, it's there and check the date when I've written it), why would I rate the drama differently in star section? Now, thank you for the indication, I truly didn't know that when I've assigned "1" (for the ep in which Duanwu so incomprehensibly misunderstood that arrow) it will remain there forever. Very likely the same thing happened with the Rise of Ning, I've assigned "1" for certain ep I didn't like and later, when I've completed the drama, forgot to assign "7" in star section. I am not familiar with the tools on this platform, if I want to rate certain ep next time, I'll go to "episode guide".

So, now I've seen, I did rate the last ep 1, but I haven't rate the drama, btw. I've rated 9 some of the early eps. Good, a leasson to me: never ever rate eps in the future, but this wasn't the topic of this discussion. I'm not a hater, I've simply objected a comment which didn't state the fact. If you have smth to say about it, say it. If not, don't direct your rude witch hunt towards me, because I'll report you

I'm a fair watcher. I never rate any drama till I finish to watch all eps. In this drama, there were eps I've rated 9, but when I get bored, it's normal to rate the ep 1. Btw, how do you know my rating?

It isn't true. Taizong (Li Shimin) in Long Ballad (and in history) never had sons named Tan or Ying, or having the titles "prince of Tan" and "prince of Ying". Before talking nonsense, check the facts. The conflict between these two princes is totally fictious, as is the 99% of this drama and, although the production hired some experts to make the props more believable, it still remains... just another costume idol drama
Finally we have an interesting and quite original story... Characters feel realistic, dialogues are fine (although not always fluently translated), scenes are well organised and paced, too. It's strange to watch a C-drama I have practically nothing to complaint about. π
A stone quarry that looks like a mine, full of tunnels adorned with scented insect repellents, international trade deal based on the sale of those scented sachets, a "baby" kicking (fetus without limbs) one month from conception... I understand the production's need to stretch the story which reached its climax at ep 24 to 32 eps, but this bunch of nonsense in just one episode is pretty annoying...
I haven't read the book. You are right about undying flowers, Memorable Leitmotiv of FL's resistence and why he fell for her. Glad we both think higly of the actors professional skills. Wu Jin Yan is also (above average) capable actress imho
I agree with your opinion, too. Princess Agents had flows, but had so many memorable scenes (neither I will ever forget that human hunting opening, fight with wolves, death of curly girl, insane training with arrows and advance in slave-carrier, the ballet-like fight, the streap fight in the bath pool that finished in bed, killing of evil uncle Yuwen, SML initial humour, pain and transformation, king's hypocrisy... whole that cruel world). Its main flow was - it was too long, so too many people were cast and with such a huge crew it was inevitable that acting of some supporting actors was not up to the level, too many subplots, not all of them equally enganging or exciting with the result: viewers' emotions switching on and off and sometimes even tired and unconvinced, but overall always wanting to see more of that story. That's probably the reason why TLSL plot was (even too much) simple (a flow of opposite sign) but the fans at least seen Yuwen Yue dragged out of the lake and in company of Chu Qiao (I even remember their names). From KMLM I'll probably remember the most original villain (without spoiling, we sense a Greek tragedy in heart of this twisted mind character towards the end) and the best emperor I've seen in C-drama. The story itself is not among those shining high above others, but I'd certainly recomend it, it's better than anything else airing right now. As for Liu Xue Yi, whoever watched The Blood of Youth, knows this actor can play anything, not like many others who know to play only in their comfort zone roles. And this capacity is visible in this role, too
At this point, MJH deserves a bit of grilling and love pain... Use a poison having no antidote next time, too, stupid! That cunning YQ would not easily give up the idea to keep ML by his side, he takes ML to trade talks on purpose, to make you suffer and give up on her.

I've watched many more dramas than I've actually "report" here.
My 1 means 1, as well as 9
In this drama, there were eps I've rated 9, but when I get bored, it's normal to rate the ep 1.

But the storyline has been redundant for several episodes now, I'm terribly bored
