yeah adaptation wise it would make sense it shorten the sentence in the novel it was 20 yrs without mitigation 15 years with mitigation sentence maybe they will go with 15 years and like out early due to good behavior kind of ending probably but yeah these verdicts are pretty realistic compared to how HK gang triads were sentenced to during that era and still is probably.

I would love it if the ending was a bit modified though if they are really doing a season 2 but even then to fit all the rest of the chapters plot it cannot be another 9 episode show but longer .

Like I know its pretty realistic considering that its a gang triad politics and all the ending but its just so heartbreaking that they have to go through all that pain in the end before their reunion one day. Like damn please lessen the sentence in the drama jebal I cannot take that long of a separation for them.

I need season2 like right now !! Finished it in one sitting yesterday regret that I took so long to watch them and omg rosmei is also like releasing the novel of this drama !

And my ever versatile Pond so good to see his role here , he is here to play the villain and its fabulous ! His role is annoying tf out of me so that is a well done performance

I don't know how I am going to survive when Youku only releases 1 episode of it per day 😭😭 please I have never wanted to binge down a 40 episode drama like this ever before its been a long time since I felt like this .

Finally out of my drama slump for this precious pearl the pilot episode and the following episodes are gorgeous .
The art used in the opening and ending songs are magnificent like absolutely stunning.
My little Princess Lusi's growth as an actress is so so visible in ever drama she does and its the same here her growth in tsopg as Duan Wu is excellent her acting its nuance and subtlety in her voice acting, the dialogue delivery all are giving 5+
And I am enjoying all the other actors in this drama the all are well versed actors with excellent aura.
So far I really enjoyed the first four episodes Youku can take my money because they have been putting out more and more good dramas these years.
Also Director Xie Ze's cinematography wow its really good

Looking forward to this drama , the plots story and characters all look so exciting 💜

I only hope theyexecyte the last arc smoothly and not give us a flimsy 2 second happy ending.

I will riot to hell if that happens . I can take all the angst but I need a satisfactory payoff for all the suffering.
