I feel like such a weirdo for saying this, but I'm actually so glad Zhang Linghe accepted this role. It almost feels like he's playing several different characters within the same story.
First, we have the doctor era, where Murong Qingyi is still kind, innocent, and hopeful despite everything he went through as a child. Then comes the post-prison era, when he appears in that uniform, and his suffering starts all over again with Susu's return. After that, we get the post-war era, where he's forced to carry even more emotional baggage before eventually becoming a father.
It's just challenge after challenge. Murong Qingyi is such a layered character, and it's one emotional blow after another. At this point, it almost feels like a tragicomedy because the poor man just can't catch a break. As an actor, though, it's such a gift. Zhang Linghe gets to show so many different sides of the same person at different stages of his life, and I honestly love watching him take on all those emotional shifts. Things like getting shot, stabbed, hit, slapped etc, its like a Mexican Novela but in a twisted male version.
I'm probably just babbling at this point, but I love Murong Qingyi so much!!

What about those pictures that Quingyu had before dying, like images of a kid with a strange rash and blood, i am scare now, if they make him sick also, this is going to be the most tragic character i have ever seen...

you already said that you did not like the drama several days ago, yet you are here out of boredom or maybe it feels good to bash a work, whatever suits you, but you are not a casual reviewer, you already made clear you are a hater, whatever reason you have to hate, maybe you dislike ZLH, or Churang, or you prefer other actor, so dont try to make your self look a casual critic. Like your comment section is crazy, you must be very bored. I have never undertand the mindset of a troll, putting energy into something that i hate.

Rubi was originally a Venezuelan Novela, and yes, there are some exceptions, she would be like a mix of FL and also the Bad Girl, she used men like Susu to get to her objectives, have money, so i can give you another Example of a bad FL Teresa, also similar to Susu, using every person to get money, Power and Protection, falling in love with a good guy but letting him down for her own interest. Both of them rich but miserable in the end.

Well the difference is that in Mexican novelas the crazy toxic one is the Evil antagonist not the Female Lead, that is why even Brasilians feels something is off with Susu.

Really the premise is silly, How in heaven can he stay away when she entered his Own house to marry his Brother, how stupid that petition is? She expected him to move from his house and family so she can mess with everyone the same way she did with him? She keeps insisting to push him away but she is the one that stays all the time in his life and family, she even lives now in the Murong House with his son, i would never understand Susu defenders really. She used the 3 brothers for her personal interest.

And just wait in the future, brace youself for hating a few more characters, including Susu

I was reading some spanish X threads and it was so funny, the dramatic moments are kind of similar to the famous scene of Soraya Montenegro in a Mexican Telenovela hahaha, i mean i love my ZLH but he is as soft and silly as the girl in the wheelchair, and Nandito i dont know, him as well? and Susu and the Mother are Soraya, so funny, go find the scene if you dont know what i am talking about. My baby Quingyi needs to drop a pair and finally Respect himself, i know he wont, but a normal ending would be him marriying someone else and being a present Father for the kid, since Susu made him loose 6 years of his childhood, whatever happens with Susu i do not care.

Maybe its too early, but this Girl really does not deserve a happy ending, specially with Quingyi, in terms of damage she is as bad as the mom, because she caused both physical and Mental Damage to him, i really do not understand how there are people making excuses for her bad behavior, she really let the baby believe that Boze is his father, and still lies to Quingyi, if she dies in the end it would be fair. Let Quingyi with his child alone.

you are fighting alone on this one girl, she is the biggest Red Flag FL ever. She even accepter the protection of Boze, he is the biological son of the Li guy she wanted to kill in the fist place, so how is that normal? She behaves badly with QuingYi all the time and then she stopped her revenge to kill Mr Li and let Boze to help her raise Quingyi son? How is that normal according to you?

that is my point, i have read several people saying that he is going to apologize for not believing her, and i am like WHAT? she is the biggest liar of all, how can he believe a word she could say? I need to keep watching but if after all of her nonsense she acts like she is the victim then i will declare my self a hater of Susu.

Keep him? she has been pushing him away from day one, even when she stopped answering his letters, used him to frame the Huo guy, got him involved on everything, she never meant to kept him. So again, i really dont know why he would apolozige to her, i guess i have to wait for the next episodes, but she is the one who needs to apologize for all the damage her hate and resenment has caused, not only to him but so many around her.

I agree, i really disliker her character, one of the coldest FL i have ever seen, selfish, liar, self centered, never took him into consideration and probably made him lost 6 years of his own son. I dont think she can redeem herself in front of me at least. I read she only confessed he is the father because the child needs blood from him, i was like WTF?? She knows how much of a family and support he needs and still lie to him on his face.

This episode is the most miserable so far, i cannot believe the Brother died, he was his only support, it is a real tragedy for everyone, he was a good men, he was only trying to protect his little brother from evil people, that is why he wanted to distance him from Susu, he knew she would only bring sadness and pain into his life. I really like QuingYu character, it made me really sad the way he died.

The story is based on a Web Toon, so the writer only change some main events happening, like money problems and Winders, but in the Toon they both cheated, and end up in separate ways. Both were at fault.

i am not saying that she did not pay the rent, that is pretty clear, the assumption was for how long she was supporting their apartment. Like i said the money problem was something that only existed in the drama, so they never made clear how things turned out for that. Clearly he was trying to make their business work, while she worked. The reason she got so mad beside their normal couple problems was money, that is why she wanted him to take a job in Winders, so she can leave the MKT job she had.
Clear up until here. The fault part is not a matter of perception. She intended to cheat, she got mad when he rejected the job, she had been cheating with another guy who was clearly interested in her sexually. She accepted the date while sober. Then she was with a guy in the elevator, he was alone, but then she acts like a poor victim and refuse to talk to him for weeks. She never held herself accountable for the fail of the relationship, but you said he admitted his fault. Clearly he did that to protect her image, not because he cheated. The writers made a mistake by trying to put the blame only on him, almost nobody bought that crap, that is why the ratings are so bad, not even Donghae fans are buying into this simp male role, a simp do whatever he needs to to to get the girl back, and that is precisely what he did, he took the whole blame so she can feel good about herself. Total BS.
She is so unnaturally cold because she has that horrible blank face, like a robot, i do not know if she is a bad actress but damn, even her crying felt fake. She was standing in front of him, seeing him cry several times with no expression on her face, of course she is cold, even koreans are saying she has no soul or warmth, so different from the Toon.
