Insufferable series other than the 2nd lead.

I have soooo many complaints with this one. It felt like it was cringey Wattpad story. Who proposes someone by saying that I like that you are handsome and rich so I want to date you and then proceeds to forcibly kiss the other party. This is what the FL did to the ML, this is like an assault. The FL was so creepy, having a wall full of MLs pics, God she was a stalker. While I may blame the FL the ML was also the same. The ML too kissed the FL forcibly and he bought a house right next to hers to be with her. It was like there were 2 red flags and both found each other. The FL thought of herself so highly like she had achieved so much in her life and treating the ML like he was a loser. I love WZM, the ML and even he wasnt a saving grace for me for this series. And don't get me started on the FL's bun😭 I get that buns are effective while working but she could have changed the hairstyle for at least the wedding photos. The only good thing about this series was DD and Lu. They both had a more amazing romance storyline the leads. Overall, I need the time that I spent watching these 24 eps back. I could have rewatched FIYS 🤷‍♀️

'Cutesy' story with lots of flashbacks.

Overall, the whole is cutesy romance with the usual pinch of breakup and 2nd lead, clingy FL and stoic ML. The actress tries to play the 'cutesy' FL but somehow for me, she doesn't fit that image. FL's character is a genius but lacks a lot in life experience, which given her age is true. This was my first cdrama which did bring me into watching cdramas back in 2019 but rewatching it again now makes me point out stuff which the younger me would have ignored. The FL gets stalkerish in the start and God trying to be 'cutesy' is so frustrating to watch. Plus I don't know who was her stylist but her clothes almost look like a 4 year old dressed her up. The flashbacks also made it a bit boring. The flashbacks were too long and frequent. I get that it helps understand the ML and his old team, but their frequency and length made me skip those, as they had the same story overall. My favourite parts were those which had the whole team together and Wu Bai. Wu Bai's interactions with TN were sweet and with HS were comedic. Overall not a bad series, but the 'too cute' FL was a bummer for me.

Too sweet to handle

After watching the 1st part, I was excited for this because GGS 1 was pretty amazing. But this for me was a disappointment. From changing the sport to everything, even the cast, felt heartbreaking. Should be watched as a stand alone. It was good to watch the last scene of the series but other than that, it was a disappointment for me. All the moments were all too sweet for me, no growth or something. It was like a fairytale romance without any villain.

Kinda long but was worth it..

Honestly I felt the the drama was too long. The frequent timeline changes and the story going in circles at a point, kinda made it boring for me. The ending of the villain felt boring, could have made it a bit better but I guess it was along the lines of a life for a life. The initial episodes were pretty good, the story was enticing, but like with most kdramas, the middle become monotonous. The series could have been wrapped up perfectly in 12 episodes. But the last episode, enduring till the last episode, made everything worth it. It was lovey dovey for sure but it showed what kind of life they both could have lived if it wasn't for the villain. The cute moments stole my heart.
On the characters, I have to say that Taesung was the one who won my heart. I loved his character, it provided the comic relief as well as the seriousness. While Sunjae and Sol were loved by everyone, Taeseung and Bae Inhyuk captured my attention more. Overall, all the actors did an amazing job. Would I rewatch it? No. But if you are thinking about watching it, give it a chance, it's a good story with frustrating, happy and sad moments. But all in all, it was worth it.

A major waste of time

This was a series that had so much potential. But the script was pretty weak, the actors were amazing, except the female lead. If they had used a dummy instead of her, no one would have been able to find a difference between the two. There was a chance of this not being the typical rags to riches storyline, but the way they wrote it felt odd. There was a clear lack of build up. Honestly felt like I wasted 12 hours of my life.
