Lovely story

I recently discovered Sea and Keen through this series, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the story, which was both sweet and had a very satisfying ending.

With so few episodes, GMMTV managed to create endearing and well-developed characters. I especially loved the character of Mawin, who, in my opinion, is one of the best love interests in a BL: caring, a little clumsy, but always doing his best to help others, especially Err.

I also found it interesting, even if handled lightly, how the series showed the pressure of schoolwork and the jealousy it can create among young people. It added a realistic touch while still being heartwarming.

Finally, I have to admit I was a bit surprised by the kissing scenes: I thought that style was a little outdated. I wasn’t expecting anything overly passionate, but I found the choice quite curious.

Overall, it was truly a sweet and enjoyable series to watch. I definitely recommend it!

A delicate moment

This film truly moved me and even made me cry. The delicacy and depth of the characters Jane and Ann left a strong impression on me, especially in how their dreams, perspectives, and ways of interacting with the world are so different.

Ann has a more realistic view of life. We see it in her desire to leave, in her complicated relationship with her mother, and in her connection with Tong. She seems fully aware that life won’t necessarily give her what she hopes for, so she’s trying to carve out her own path.

Jane, on the other hand, is much more idealistic. She doesn’t yet know what she wants to do with her future, but one thing is certain: she wants to stay by Ann’s side forever. Unlike Ann, she refuses the idea of moving forward, changing, or leaving — and that contrast between them creates a beautiful emotional tension.

Their relationship is so touching and profound. They genuinely love each other, but there’s a delicate ambiguity surrounding their feelings — we never really know if one of them is romantically in love with the other or if it’s the opposite. I truly appreciated this intentional “blur,” as it makes their bond even more powerful.

The arrival of Tong adds another layer to the story. His actions could even be interpreted as a form of grooming, which also works as a subtle critique, especially since he was fully aware of Ann’s situation.

In the end, I really appreciated this film — not only for its beautiful coming-of-age narrative but also for its subtle critique of capitalism and human relationships. It’s a sensitive, nuanced, and deeply emotional work that stays with you long after it ends

Stellar Cast Delivers a Dark, Gripping Story

First off, hats off to the cast, especially the actresses. They literally gave their all, and their performances are truly remarkable.

This series is undeniably entertaining, and waiting each week for the conclusion, even if it was predictable, was genuinely enjoyable. Beyond just entertainment, the show delves into a poignant theme: the devastating impact of a violent, abusive, and incestuous upbringing. It suggests that such an environment makes it difficult, if not impossible, to become a functional adult free from vice and manipulation.

Let's be honest, none of the four sisters are truly "good" people, but that's precisely what makes the narrative so fascinating. It's refreshing to see complex, flawed female characters on screen, and the series invites us to root for their "wickedness." As for the male characters... let's just say they're odd.

For those considering watching, be aware that the series tackles sensitive subjects. Potential trigger warnings include sexual assault (SA), revenge porn, and abuse.

Phi & Tam: A Wasted Romance

It's hard to give a definitive opinion on this series. It's neither truly bad nor genuinely captivating. The actors' performances are flawless, but the screenplay is lacking.

The initial tension between Phi and Tam, though promising, is quickly overshadowed by a rushed coupling, pushing all suspense to the side. The exploration of the television industry is an interesting idea, but unfortunately, it remains underexploited and doesn't reach its full potential.

I also hoped for a GL romance between Kaoki and Nudee, but this avenue was regrettably not pursued. Frankly, if you're not a die-hard fan of Singto and Krist, it's unlikely you'll find much to enjoy in this series.

Only the wedding scene, absolutely magnificent, managed to save the whole thing for me. It's a bright spot in a series that ultimately leaves you wanting more.

A Surprising and Dynamic Season 2

I absolutely loved this season! It has a more mature vibe than the first, with great introductions of characters (Go Tak, Hu Min, Jun Tae as allies; Seong Je as the enemy).

The series is a quick watch, even if a few questions remain unanswered (thanks to only 8 episodes!). I especially loved Sieun's evolution; I preferred him this season. The fight scenes are excellent, and the friendships between the characters are beautifully developed.

Season 2 is less melancholic and more focused on fun action than Season 1, which I really appreciated. The actor playing the villain is good, though his motive lacked clarity. Park Ji Hoon's performance is incredible, a true talent.

Highly recommend!

Appealing character

What a day with this series! I really didn't expect to enjoy it so much. I particularly liked the characters of Megumi and Hiroko, and the evolution of their relationship, despite the emotional obstacles they faced on both sides. The series is really beautiful and aesthetic, and the cinematography is very captivating. I also really appreciated the emotional support one of the characters offered, an aspect not often seen in GL series.

The actresses had excellent chemistry, and I'd love to see them together again in another project. I would caution, however, that there are scenes of abuse, so watch out for triggers.

Real bad

In this series, the characters who stood out to me the most are Jade and the group of friends nicknamed the “Avengers.” Throughout the episodes, they are killed one by one while the investigators, Jade and Kamin, try to solve the case.

On the positive side, Joong’s acting and the performances of the “Avengers” are fairly decent, and the series does make an effort to create a sense of mystery.

However, several elements weaken the overall result: Dunk’s acting has clearly declined, there are noticeable sound issues, and the editing is quite messy.

In the end, GMMTV once again delivers a rather average series. It’s unfortunate for the teams who worked on it. Personally, I wasn’t convinced, so you can easily skip this one.

A Romance in Prison

This series is very different from what we are used to seeing in the GL world, both in terms of where the story takes place and the show’s budget.

The series is clearly well produced from a budgetary and cinematographic standpoint. It is visually appealing, well shot, and features many beautiful shots.

I especially loved the character of Claire and Mable’s performance. Despite all the rage within her, Claire is ultimately just someone who is willing to do anything to protect the people she loves. In my opinion, she is the best-written character in the series.

As for Bell, I’m not sure whether the issue lies in the writing, but I had the impression that she wasn’t entirely sincere with Claire. I think this mainly comes from the way their relationship was developed, which felt too rushed or poorly handled. If it had been done better, the audience would have been able to feel the sincerity of their relationship more clearly.

The secondary characters are not developed enough. For example, the Dao sisters—except for the eldest—are mostly there to torment Bell.

Kae is truly one of the best villains in a GL series. I can only appreciate the show because of her: this is real, unapologetic cruelty, and you almost enjoy hating her in every episode. She perfectly shows how a single event can completely change a person.

The chemistry between Bell and Claire is a big yes—they work extremely well together.

I initially thought the series would be a critique of prison conditions, but that is not the case at all. The series should not be viewed from that perspective.

Even though the series has many flaws and leaves several plot points unanswered, I truly had a great time with Claire and Bell.

Fun to watch

I'm not going to lie, I had fun watching this series, despite the many questionable and problematic behaviors from Pat towards Prem. But the series is interesting where it talks about the parental pressure Prem faces from her parents. She really did everything to satisfy them, but they never were. They did everything to make her suffer, and I really wish they had been made to pay for it because it was truly emotional torture.

But there you have it, I recommend the series. The acting is solid and the plot is crazy and entertaining.

Touching

This series was truly touching. I really enjoyed watching these characters evolve throughout.
I didn't expect the series to have so much singing, but it wasn't bothersome in itself.

I really appreciated the series for the way it shows parenthood and how it can shape your teenage and adult life. Win has a good relationship with his father, with whom he can confide easily and even be very affectionate, unlike Nut, whose father emotionally abuses him by, for example, smashing his guitar and simply not caring about his opinion.

It's the same for Chai and Ek, where Chai sacrifices himself for his mother, while Ek has parents who are supportive and listen.

My main criticism of the series is that the pacing was slow, and I would have liked the characters Lin and Biu to be more developed; their development was really weak.

I recommend it if you're looking for soft characters and their evolutions.

Fun to watch

This second series of the MeTeLuv anthology, with a cult and mind-control vibe, will show how Ploy (played by Parn) and Phupha (played by Prem) will try to put an end to this cult with a Police Inspector, Wutkrai (played by Nani).
You'll have a good time watching the series, to be honest with you, taking down the cult didn't really interest me; it was the romance between Ploy and Wutkrai that I liked. They were cute, and I also appreciated the humor in it.
It's a quick, easy watch, no-brainer. I recommend it

A Disappointment Despite Good Ideas

I just finished Pit Babe, and frankly, watching it was quite a chore. The concept (alpha, enigma, child trafficking, charismatic villain) was promising, but the execution was confusing and messy.

The acting was inconsistent, creating a jarring disparity. The product placements were often poorly done and totally broke the immersion.

But the worst part is Babe: easily one of the worst BL characters, selfish and rude. The dynamic with Charlie is toxic, with Charlie constantly letting himself be walked all over. It's frustrating and makes the relationship uncomfortable.

I absolutely do not recommend it.

What can I say about this series?

I really enjoyed watching it. Each character has a well-defined personality. Jin and Haruki, although they seem very different, share a lot in common, not least their loneliness in the face of parents who don't understand them. The tension between the two characters is well-developed and captivating. I would have liked to see more of their adult lives, but the ending is satisfying. It really is a touching story.

Entertained

I really enjoyed watching this series, even though it isn’t really a love story for me . It’s more of a lakorn, with over-the-top villains and dramatic scenes, but it’s still entertaining.

I especially liked Pheem’s character, particularly his development, which was interesting to follow. However, his obsession with revenge sometimes made him really annoying.

Than, my poor baby, should never have ended up with that crazy Pheem he clearly deserved better. Even though he had his flaws, I really liked him. The antagonists were over the top but fun to watch. Still, I would have preferred a different ending for them than the one we got.

If you like lakorns, I would still recommend it.

A Gem

The dynamics between the main characters are really well developed. The show takes its time, and honestly, it’s hard to explain you just have to watch it to get it.

I also really appreciate that the series doesn’t try to force us to feel sorry for Jomkwan. She’s scary and clearly unhinged. And yet...

The slow burn between Boon and Win? I absolutely love it. You can really feel that they’re drawn to each other, but there’s always a monster to kill, so they don’t have time to talk about it. The soulmate concept? I’m obsessed with it.

I feel so bad for Win. She’s such a tortured character nothing goes right in her life. Her mother hates and belittles her just to highlight her older sister. Her father tries to support her, but he can only do so much, and her sister ends up being her emotional anchor.

On the flip side, Boon is cherished and protected by her mother. I really liked this contrast it makes sense and adds depth to both their personalities.

Jomkwan is absolutely a crazy, desperate villain, but I still kind of like her. The series actually managed to make me feel sympathy for her.

You also learn a lot about spirituality through the show the prayers, rituals, the meaning of water, and the importance of monks.

I especially love the past timeline in the series. I don’t know what it is, but it brings something fresh and different to the story.

This was the best final episode I’ve seen in a GL. Usually, I skip the last episodes because you already know how it ends but here, it was a pleasant surprise.

And overall, the acting is really solid. The main trio works so well together.
