The concept of the series is really interesting, and I really like the initial idea. But falling in love with a robot that literally has the face you created yourself is kind of crazy 😭. I’m sorry, but I feel like the build-up happens way too fast. A kiss by episode 3, when AI hasn’t even been around for a month, and Gen is already starting to develop feelings… Even though we know everything tends to move quickly in fiction, that was already a small issue for me.

However, I love the fact that AI, the robot, and the scientist can switch places. I think the concept is super interesting, and I was genuinely curious to see how they were going to explore that later on.

Episode 4 was so crazy, but I really liked it! We got to learn more about Gen’s relationship with her mother, but also about what it means to be the eldest sister when a parent leaves. The whole idea of responsibility, sacrifice, and the pressure that can be placed on the eldest child was really interesting to see.

Well… I finally finished the series, and I really wanted to love it, but honestly, I just couldn’t get into it. I felt like Gen and AI’s relationship was much more physical than emotional. Every time I watched one of their intimate moments, I kept thinking about the movie Companion 😭.

It was mainly the emotional development of their relationship that didn’t convince me. And it’s not even really about AI being a robot, because I’m used to these kinds of stories and that doesn’t bother me at all. It’s more about the way their relationship was developed that just didn’t work for me. I think I’m simply not the target audience for this series.

That being said, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the actresses or the production. They clearly did a great job.

Little Jane & Big Jane

I love this series so much! I’m sorry, but it’s been a long time since a BL grabbed my attention as much as Big Jane & Little Jane. You really had to be there. The first 6 episode are so good to me.

I absolutely love how intimidating the actor playing Big Jane is. The moment he appears, you can tell there’s something shady about him. Even the camera movements reinforce that feeling and create such a particular atmosphere. It’s really well done.

I also find the series interesting because Big Jane and Little Jane aren’t polished, flawless characters like the ones we usually see. The show clearly highlights their flaws without necessarily trying to make them more likable, and I really appreciated that. The acting is also great, and even the supporting characters manage to leave an impression.

But the psychological manipulation Big Jane puts Little Jane through… that’s something else. He gradually isolates him from his friends until they’re basically spending all their time together. And whenever Big Jane gets upset, the whole atmosphere turns dark. Their relationship is definitely not a beautiful love story: it’s extremely toxic.

I’m sorry to say it, but the time skip really felt like a waste of time. And then the memory loss… I understand Little Jane, but seriously, give us a break.

Little Jane definitely deserves better than Big Jane. But at the end of the day, it’s a series, and their relationship was truly something to watch. As toxic as it was, I had such a great time watching the show, and it kept me hooked until the very end.

A horrible mom makes for an interesting show

After the disaster that was Only You I couldn’t even make it past episode 1 In Love Forever was actually a really pleasant surprise. I found the series genuinely interesting because of the topics it explores: the control and manipulation of toxic parents, the responsibility children can feel toward their parents, and how a married couple deals with the struggles within their marriage.

Runch and Neen’s relationship… Honestly, what they go through is so unfair. You know they deeply love each other, but they can’t even live their relationship peacefully because Runch’s mother is completely insane and extremely controlling. And when you finally find out the reasons behind her behavior… it’s absolutely ridiculous.

But let’s talk about THE standout character of this series: Kingkamol. Yes, I hated her from beginning to end, but why is this woman so funny?! She was honestly the best entertainment in the entire show. THIS is what I call a proper drama villain: she is literally willing to do ANYTHING to stop her daughter from ending up with her love interest.

And Runch, my little cutie pie… I absolutely loved her character. She’s going through it from every possible direction: her mother is controlling, mean, and toxic, she gets bullied at work, and on top of that, everyone thinks she only got her job because her wife has a higher position than her. Seriously, being Runch is NOT easy. She deserved so much better.

Episode 11, though, is literally the worst episode of the entire series. Throughout the show, Neen is constantly suffering physically, and it all gets brushed aside like it’s nothing. That really frustrated me. And I especially hated that Kingkamol got a redemption arc after she literally destroyed her daughter’s marriage. Runch truly deserved better parents.

Thankfully, the ending satisfied me. I really wanted Runch to stop talking to her mother, AND I GOT EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED.

Overall, I absolutely loved watching this series. I feel like I’m in the minority here, but honestly, it was such an entertaining lakorn. I had so much fun watching it, and I genuinely got attached to the characters.

Spare the rod and spoil the child

The final series in the 4 Elements saga! After the absolute mess that was The Air, honestly, The Fire is really entertaining. The whole foundation of this saga is basically yearning, and even though it’s a little different in this series, I really like the way they handled it.

Fai and Kaphrao have known each other since childhood. Fai was raised by her aunt, while Kaphrao was raised by Fai’s father, which obviously creates a lot of tension between them. But at the same time, their dynamic is both playful and slightly dangerous, and honestly, I found it really entertaining.

Thankfully, Fai’s behavior gradually gets better as the episodes go on because, at the beginning… she was literally a grown-ass woman harassing her love interest. She seriously needed to calm down.

I really like Kaphrao as a character. She’s caring, kind, hardworking… Honestly, she deserves so much better than Fai, but whatever, you already know how it goes: we’re watching a love story, so obviously they’re going to end up together.

And honestly, when they’re not arguing, their relationship is actually really cute. I really liked their wedding, but also the scenes after it. I especially appreciated the way the series portrayed the stress and nervousness you can feel before having sex for the first time. It felt natural, and it was refreshing compared to some series where everything always seems so easy and obvious.

In the end, it’s a pretty simple rom-com with all the usual clichés and basic family drama, but it works because it’s well acted and entertaining. I honestly wasn’t asking for much more, especially after The Air!

Messy but good messiness

So, at first, I didn’t really want to watch this series, but I eventually decided to give it a try, and honestly, it wasn’t bad at all. A revenge storyline in a GL is definitely something different, and you can tell that a lot of work went into the story, the production, and the acting. And Arisa and Lalin’s relationship… absolutely insane, but also really interesting to watch.

The plot twist was pretty predictable, but I didn’t really mind it. However, I definitely think the series should have ended at episode 6.

My main issue is the way Arisa’s past was handled. I feel like we were mostly told about what she went through instead of actually being shown it. We got a few flashbacks, but I really wish we had seen more of her suffering and everything that eventually pushed her toward revenge. It would have helped me understand her perspective and maybe even root for her, because personally, I was more on Lalin’s mother’s side.

I also wish we had gotten way more confrontation scenes from Lalin. I found her way too passive considering how serious and messed up the whole situation was. There was so much potential for more intense confrontations between the characters.

Same thing with the assistant and the journalist I really wish their relationship had been developed more.

And as for the relationship between Lalin’s mother and Arisa’s mother: psychiatric hospital. That’s all I’m going to say .

But overall, I still had a good time watching the series.

Surprised by CH3

I was fully prepared to be disappointed and to watch a series full of nonsense, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed Oon and Fun’s relationship and watching them grow as a young married couple. Seeing them build a life together and start a family was especially refreshing. It’s the first time I’ve seen this aspect explored so much in a GL series, so I definitely appreciate the effort.

That being said, I don’t think this series will be for everyone. In my opinion, it’s more suited to viewers over 25 because of its mature themes and storytelling.

The chemistry between the actresses is absolutely there. They genuinely feel like a real married couple, which made their relationship very believable. I’m honestly surprised that they managed to keep me invested and entertained for eight episodes while telling such a mature story.

At times, the series almost feels like positive advocacy for the normalization and acceptance of same-sex couples, and I really liked that aspect of it.

Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing what these actresses do next. 😊

Good idea, Bad execution but at least they tried

What can I say about GMMTV's most anticipated series? Personally, I really enjoyed it. Even though I think 10 episodes would have been enough, I became genuinely attached to the characters and their different life journeys.

My favorite characters were Bambi, Shasha, and Gorya. They all had strong and interesting personalities, but what also stood out to me was their fashion. Their outfits felt fresh and innovative for a GL series, and I really appreciated that because we don't usually see characters dressed like that in this genre.

Despite all the complaints and criticism on social media, I enjoyed Girl Rules. It was entertaining in many ways and gave me exactly what I was looking for, so thank you to the series for that.

As for the couples, I really loved Shasha and Gorya, as well as Prim and Bambi. By the end, their relationships became quite similar, even though they started off completely differently. There was sexual tension, some cheating, a little bit of craziness, but not enough arguments for my taste. I would have liked to see more conflict between these couples to make their dynamics even more compelling.

I'm sorry, but I really didn't enjoy Min and Praew as a couple. Their dynamic was frustrating to watch. I didn't find Praew's persistence cute at all. It's such a shame because Min's storyline about discovering and coming to terms with her sexuality was genuinely interesting, but this relationship took away from that for me.

I also appreciated that the series touched on queer (lesbian) themes, women's issues, and mental health. Even though these topics were only explored on a surface level, I think they deserved much more development.

In any case, don't let social media opinions decide for you. Form your own opinion. The series is nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be.

A secret gem

The storyline is well developed, the scenes are beautiful, and the actresses take their roles very seriously. I especially liked the characters Tarn and Vicky they are complete opposites at first, but despite their differences, they eventually grow closer.

I also really enjoyed the police aspect of the series, and the action scenes are well executed.

The only thing that bothered me was the part where Tarn is drugged and Vicky still sleeps with her. I don’t think it’s appropriate to show something like that.

I also really liked Tarn’s friends they’re very endearing. Vicky also deserved a stronger group of friends. She does have one friend, but that relationship isn’t as memorable or well developed.

Despite that, I would still recommend the series, even if it does feel a bit like cop propaganda.

Fun watch

This is the first time I’ve seen a BL story with this kind of plot, and I really enjoyed it. The characters of Shiba and Aruto are very different in terms of personality, but they complement each other perfectly.

The series is quite fast-paced, but in just 12 episodes, we get a good understanding of the characters’ backgrounds and quickly grow attached to them.

I especially liked the humor, Shiba’s character development, as well as the intimate scenes between Aruto and Shiba. They were very subtle, not overly explicit, but really well done. Even the love confessions were something I truly enjoyed.

I had a really good time watching it.

A funny rom com

I understand why this series is so popular. It’s true that I don’t get all the inside jokes that Thai viewers might understand, but I still had a really good time watching it.

That said, it’s not a series with a complex storyline don’t expect something like KinnPorsche. It’s more about enjoying the moment.

My only negative point and I know this might sound immature is the kissing scenes between Thee and Peach, which I found quite underwhelming. I wasn’t asking for intense make-out scenes, but we’re watching a love story… at least kiss properly.

After episode 7, something feels really off. Pond gives it his all, while Phuwin sorry only seems to give about 30%.

The characters also deserved more development; everything stays very surface-level.

Tawan and Aran are basically useless to the story, and we keep seeing the same trope with Perth and Santa, which is becoming ridiculous.

Despite all that, the series is very comforting and funny, and I really enjoy watching it

A Playful Love Triangle

This is the fifth series in the Meteluv anthology. The story focuses on Na, a medical intern who has a crush on Nine, who is also an intern. However, Na grows closer to Leemai, a girl on whom Nine also has a crush, which creates a love triangle.

Honestly, the mini-series was entertaining and well acted. Na’s character is quite questionable at times, especially because of some disrespectful remarks toward Leemai, but it’s clear that she doesn’t do it intentionally, which makes her more forgivable.

I really liked the ending; it was a very good conclusion.

If you’re looking for something quick to watch without overthinking it, this series is for you.

Cliche but pleasant

The chemistry between the two actors is really strong, and the series is very funny. I like the sister, even though her husband is really useless… to the point where the mother ends up having a heart attack.

Dynamite Kiss is definitely a drama I really enjoyed watching this year. Yes, it includes all the classic rom-com clichés: fake dating, the second lead who realizes he’s in love too late, daddy issues, a female lead who sacrifices herself for her family — and the same goes for the male lead. But despite all of that, the series is still very entertaining.

Ji Hyeok and Da Rim are so lovable, sometimes annoying, but overall really adorable to watch. They have great chemistry and look amazing together.

However, the jealous sister who turns out to be the illegitimate child feels completely unnecessary. It doesn’t add anything to the story, and it’s not even a little bit fun.

I absolutely love the romance between Ji Hyeok and Da Rim they’re just too cute.

Episode 12 really ruined that special spark the series had. The writing was painful and made no sense, especially with characters we don’t even care about.

Still, after watching the final episodes and seeing the reactions on social media, the series remains enjoyable overall. Even though it uses every possible romance cliché, it’s still a pleasant watch.

Tried to do somethig but fell off

First of all, the concept of the series is completely crazy: dating your ex’s sister in order to get back the money they scammed from you—there’s no way that can end well.

The series really takes its time to get started, but by watching it week after week, you eventually grow attached quite easily.

In my opinion, Ploy and Pun should not be endgame. Yes, there is tension and chemistry between them, but their relationship is extremely toxic, even though it is very well acted. Honestly, the argument scenes are especially well done.

The second couple, on the other hand, is so much fun to watch. They give you a chance to breathe compared to the main couple—a more mature and respectful relationship.

One thing I really appreciated is that Pun and Ploy actually have a support system. I swear, when you watch a lot of GL series, most of them don’t, and I would really love to see this more often.

Overall, I like the series, even though I had a hard time getting hooked or becoming as obsessed with it as with others—and that’s okay.
