I agree with this comment. As much as I'm enjoying this drama I get it's not everyone's cup of tea and that's totally okay. We all have different tastes so definitely reclaim your time and use it for a drama you really vibe with 💪

They did, first to help the FL's friend and then to avoid being accused by the villain, but yup, they got married relatively early in the story.

I can’t speak for everyone since tastes differ, but the plot definitely picks up after episode 15. Episode 19 in particular stands out for several reasons, and it just keeps getting better from there — personally, I really started loving it even more around episode 25.
That said, I’ve enjoyed it overall since the beginning because I vibe a lot with the leads’ chemistry. But if you’re finding it hard to stay invested, it might just not be your cup of tea, and that’s totally okay too!

Yup, can't recall them mentioning anything about it. I do like that they're not spoon feeding us ( well relatively with other dramas) and there are things that we should read between the lines and keep us guessing 😅

I’ve been wondering that too! I think there are a few things going on — first of all, no one in this realm actually knows what Ming Xian’s aura feels like, not even JBZ, since when they fought she was under an illusion spell. So it’s not something anyone would immediately connect. Plus, 27 is barely ever around people — he mostly interacts privately with Ming Yi or later with the main group, so there’s less chance for anyone to notice similarities. And honestly, they probably have some kind of concealment going on — spell, artifact, charm, whatever — because everyone in this show hides something at this point 😅

I guess he’s not mad because he finally gets it 😭—while every other celestial power-hungry gremlin is after the GMD for status or control, he realized MY needs it just to stay alive. Like, not for her realm, not for glory—just pure survival. He’s seen her hurt herself again and again for him, knows she’s not scheming for gain, just trying to breathe another day. Add the fact that now he knows there’s no other man in the picture? Man’s just a lovesick puppy at this point—logic, anger, pride, all left the chat 💀💀

They don’t really explain it in detail, at least not to my recollection, but from what we see, the graft spell is kind of a ritual where one person transfers their spiritual energy or vein to another to save or heal them. It’s super risky and drains the caster’s own power , or turns the spiritual veins backwards if it backfires. I could be wrong tho

We already know who the FL will end up with, so our empathy automatically leans toward the main leads, while the second male lead’s choices — no matter how emotionally driven — get filtered through that inevitability. It’s a fascinating reflection of human behavior: to protect our own emotional investment, we subconsciously minimize the second lead’s perspective.

In Love in the Clouds, though, I think that bias still holds up logically. Both main leads have endured enormous pain, but what separates them is their ability to remain self-aware despite it. They’re scarred, yes, but they both still understand boundaries — JBZ exposes villains through justice rather than blind vengeance, while MY, despite her trauma, still clings to fairness and reason, even admitting she’d face him head-on in a fair duel if he truly had poisoned her. That sense of restraint and accountability defines them as leads.

The SML, on the other hand, even with also a tragic backstory, began from a place of genuine affection and good intentions, but his inability to process rejection twisted those motives into obsession. Each decision he makes — feels like a deliberate step away from empathy and toward self-righteousness. His pain doesn’t excuse his choices; it only makes his downfall more tragic. In that sense, he represents what happens when love becomes entitlement and grief becomes justification. I still hope they will turn his storyline around though.

And as for the FL hate — completely agree. It’s wild how people flatten such layered characters into “right” or “wrong.” The story gives us all the context we need; it’s just easier for some to watch through a simplified lens rather than engage with the nuance.

Haha dzaaam — that kind of take usually comes from watching without really reading between the lines. The story doesn’t exactly spoon-feed us (compared to other dramas), so it’s all about catching the subtext, which is a pretty obvious one.
It does come off a bit biased against JBZ, which is fair — everyone’s got their own view. Mind-blowing to me, but oh well 😭
