Go-Ya

After a fantastic first episode, unfortunately, it's gotten weaker with each episode. This series is a huge disappointment for me on every level; I thought Mark and Junior would be the main couple in this drama, and North and Yu would just be supporting characters, as is often the case with the second couple in other series. Unfortunately, from the second episode on, it became clear that the opposite was true, and North and Yu were the main characters.

Besides, you can see and feel that Mark and Junior are still a bit stiff, which disappointed me. I was so happy to get an adult BL couple, because lately everything seems to revolve around students.

Besides, North and Yu are completely unsuitable for each other, in my personal opinion; they have no chemistry at all, nothing, zero, nothing.

It's a shame, because this one had great promise.

I know it's just a Japanese BL series, so don't expect too much, but...is this what love looks like? After all, these two guys are supposedly deeply in love, they live together, sleep in the same bed, tell each other all their worries and thoughts, both professional and personal, and on top of that, they know that at some point they'll have to be apart for a while, and it looks like this??? Excuse me? Of course, I'm not expecting any raunchy love scenes, but at least a little intimacy? How can we even treat this second part of the series as a BL romance? What kind of romance is it if the characters don't have any romance? Just because they live together doesn't mean they're lovers...
Toma had one drink and clearly wanted a little "ramba camba," but Mamiya treated it as a loss of control, as if such an act hadn't been a natural way of showing affection since the dawn of humanity and was one of the reasons people form couples? After all, it's to live together, sleep together, have sex together, etc. However, it's clear that this series shows the life of a couple who theorize about the love that unites them without even physically showing it. I don't know, maybe they're both asexual and sexuality only appears in Tom, and only after having a drink. In any case, this story is becoming terribly boring and tedious to watch and it shows everything, including the secrets of a make-up artist's work, but it does not show what it was supposed to show, namely BL.

Okay, let's analyze this situation, which has been unfolding before our eyes for seven episodes now, and so far we haven't even taken it a step further, because after all, this "touching of lips" can't be considered a kiss.

Mianto is definitely as romantic as a broomstick, and Wataru, from the way I saw his disappointment after that "kiss," would like to experience romantic moments to convince himself that being lovers is better than just being "best friends." Lovers can be, and even should be, each other's best friends, but only friends can't be each other's lovebirds.... That changes a lot, right?

Mianto realized he loved Watarau after five years of separation, and suddenly, upon returning (for professional reasons), he realized it would be nice to live together again because he loved Watarau. Seriously, if you truly loved Watarau, you wouldn't have cut off contact with him for five years and moved to another city. Long-distance relationships exist, not to mention friendships that can be maintained throughout life, even if you rarely see each other for various reasons.
Minato touched Watarau's lips to his, then crawled under the covers and fell asleep.
Maybe Japanese/Asians have a different sense of intimacy, love, and desire (although in heterosexual dramas, this seems to be no different from our Western behaviors), and he thought that after this "erotic act," Watarau was already his boyfriend, those five years apart would be forgotten, and now they would live together like boyfriends. I'm not surprised Wataru doesn't want to fall into this "Minato channel of coldness," and although he loves the stiff Mianato, his sense of reality definitely hampers his decisions. Minato is good with words, but they're just words, words, words...
I believe they both have feelings for each other, but Minato definitely needs time to realize the situation (even if only in the example of his grandparents' relationship) and show at least a little tenderness towards the thirsty Wataru.
I wonder if we'll continue to go in circles in the next episodes, or if the action will pick up a bit.
I only watched this episode because I was hoping something would finally happen that would give this series some life and reality... but we know how it is, it won't happen. Minato fell asleep, and I almost fell asleep with him.

I really, really didn't like the moment when Toh agreed to be the doctor's boyfriend only because he lost hope of being with Jimmy after overhearing Jimmy's conversation with his friends. After all, he felt cheated on by someone he loved, and he did the same to someone else. Very ugly, phew.

Yes, of course, but since the last three episodes, it's all revolved around North and Ohm, and the couple I'm most interested in has been completely pushed into the background. Besides, while some might find North's naivety appealing, it just annoys me. In my opinion, Ohm is a loner/solo actor, and I never liked him in any of his previous ships, and this time he doesn't suit North either, in my personal opinion!

After the first episode, I was thrilled because I thought Junior and Mark were a brilliant and incredibly beautiful couple. My enthusiasm quickly faded, however, when the series shifted to a second couple that didn't interest me at all. Pond continues to play the naive little boy, no matter which partner he's working with. I don't like this dynamic – the small, naive Poon and the tall, strong, cunning Ohm. Furthermore, the love story has devolved into a cheesy comedy, which really disappointed me. I expected more… a better story, better acting, and above all, I wanted to see Junior and Mark as the main couple. Meh !

Pond and Peterpan, on the other hand, are a perfect match. They are both incredibly attractive and hot, and I would love to see them as a BL couple/ship.

I wonder what happened to this series in the second season? Is it still a BL, or more of an instructional guide on how to become a good visagiusta and how the rules of work and promotion work in this industry? Did the cosmetics industry pay for this series and treat it as an advertisement for recruiting new employees or a training program? It's become boring and devoid of any emotion. I also don't know why they included this boy in the series? Is he supposed to play some kind of rival, because I don't understand his role.
Overall, they just ruined everything. It's so sad because I liked this couple and their romance.

Wait a minute... Toh is Teh's older brother, and Teh is Plaifah's boyfriend. Jimmy, on the other hand, was Toh's lover, is Teh's friend, and the guy Plaifah wanted.
Teh and Plaifah devote all their time to babysitting Toh and intensely concern themselves with his emotional life, as if they didn't have their own.
There's something I don't understand: Why is Plaifah so keen on Toh permanently breaking up with Jimmy, and why is Teh so keen on Toh staying with Jimmy? Could it be that Teh and Plaifah really have nothing to say to each other, and Plaifah is so invested in this to finally get to Jimmy and make sure Tod doesn't come back to him? And Teh keeps Jimmy away from Plaifah in this way, knowing that Plaifah won't get Jimmy?
I can't explain it any other way but this.
I would also add that I don't understand Jimmy; why would such a fun-loving guy want to be in a relationship with the most boring and helpless guy on earth like Toh?
This show is kind of pointless and, as a result, boring as hell.

This entire plot could have been squeezed into three episodes because we're just going in circles.

Every episode is like this, except maybe the scenery changes, but that's not a problem.

Wataru doesn't know what he wants because he's not consistent in his decision, and everything revolves around the issue of "being just best friends or being something more." It bores me, just like that passionless kiss. That kiss had as much energy and emotion as the entire series, which is to say, none.

I don't understand why Jimmy mourns Toh? This guy, despite being significantly older than Jimmy, is emotionally immature, is mothered by his younger brother and his boyfriend, and is also incredibly boring and characterless. Being around someone like that seems exhausting and draining. On the other hand, I don't understand why Toh mourns Jimmy when he caused him so much pain and simply deceived him.

I don't understand this show, and the entire psychological construct of the characters is illogical in my eyes. Besides, I feel like Pleif and Teh's relationship isn't sincere, because I feel like Pfei is protecting Toh and pulling him away from Jimmy , wanting to punish Jimmy for being with someone else and not fighting for him. Maybe I'm wrong...

I'd like to emphasize that this comment is only my personal opinion...
I must admit that I'm extremely disappointed with episode 2. I'm not interested in the story of North and Yu at all, and unfortunately, it took up 80% of the episode. I don't like this type of acting, even though I know this series is a comedy. I don't like these two actors as a couple because I think they're completely incompatible.
I was fascinated by Pai and Tim... The beginning, meaning episode 1, was very promising, so I expected a steamy comedy romance (I don't mean the NC scenes) with a lot of romance and everything that goes with it. The actors are so beautiful, they complement each other so well, the producers of this series should simply use it better. I'm waiting for episode 3 but if it has the same feeling as episode 2, I'll leave this series disappointed.

This series has more or less the same quality as "Bad Guy my Boss", i.e. none.....
First of all, the concept of a younger brother taking care of his immature older brother like a child is strange, to say the least...

Secondly, I wouldn't want a guy who lets himself be pushed around and has no self-respect. Jimmy has tested it several times that he can do whatever he wants, and PThoe, like a good dog, will still come back to him and apologize...

This show is strange and a bit annoying... Besides, I was surprised to see James and Kad back together; I thought that ship had died after the last series.

I've only seen the first episode, and it's hard to say what awaits me yet. However, my first impression is very positive about Pai and Tim, but less so about Yo and North. I was happy to finally get a grown-up BL story told by adult actors. They're both very beautiful and perfectly suited to each other, and their relationship is mature and has a future. As for North and Yu, I'm saturated with comedic and "school" dramas, so I felt a bit bored. I don't really like this type of acting, and in my opinion, this couple doesn't fit together at all. But as I wrote above, this is just the beginning...

As a fan of Chinese cinema in general (not just BL), I was delighted with the precision, graphics, and atmosphere of this series. The main cast is excellent, and you feel like they're very close. For Chinese cinema, it's a very bold series, with a very bold theme, and it's really well-executed. Enigma's smoking hands are my number one element!!!!
I've never been interested in stories like Alpha, Omega, Bata, and Enigma, and I had to immerse myself in this atmosphere, and the way it was filmed and staged really resonated with me. However, the pregnant guy and his morning sickness just made me laugh....sorry, I'm not in any way a prude or homophobe or anything like that, but I couldn't shut off my reality and completely surrender to my fantasy...it was just a side note.
I'm a huge fan of Elliot and Kipuka and I hope we'll see them together in future series, as successful as this one!

If this were any other Chinese couple from the BL series, I would think that maybe they were advertising some jewelry or something, but since THIS IS THE COUPLE that is the first Chinese BL ship, I think that this post has more meaning than some people think and try to take away its meaning.

I've been a BL fan for years and I realize that China is not Thailand and homosexual relationships are practically unacceptable, but I still don't think this post was made for money. That's all.

........but if it was a hetero couple it wouldn't be fanservice for money, right?

This series is definitely not an Oscar-winning masterpiece, but since it's not an academic or school-uniform-wearing series, I simply enjoy watching it. I like the actors, especially the younger one, who is sweet and likeable... they're generally a great match, and their delicate chemistry captivates me. You don't have to force everything on your partner by persistently questioning them; you can give them time to make their own decisions about what's going on at work... I like how they give each other space, time, and support.

Besides, everything is so beautiful and fragrant, the actors are so handsome, the cosmetics are beautifully designed, and the whole skincare storyline is something else entirely, and I'm just waiting for the plot to develop further.

PS. I won't be surprised at all if, at the end of the series, it turns out that Mrs. Emma Lauren is Tom's mother. LOL
