For me, the drama has become FULLY UNREALISTIC NOW. A little bit of fantasy is okay for romantic comedy but there's no way someone like the ML would fall that deep for a woman THAT'S SOO EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE for him and married...besides, she gave him PTSD. There's no reason for this man to fight with himself soo much over a self centered coward. He's being stupid...he seems like some desperate woman's fantasy who lives in lala land. Just saying! Also, an HEIRESS CHASING A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO IS ALSO EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE AND A FATHER? bwahaha! Sure! The writer went too far. Too far!

The 2nd FL just kept his secret....she's just spoiled nepo baby and that's it. The rest of them are making things complicated for her.

1) She tells the ML that she's married and torments him

Performative??? That's his childhood friend who attends her sick mom in the hospital...she could have been uncomfortable with a man she has been lying to. extreme jealousy? Why not? A guy who literally knows her for a few days and is aftet her even after knowing she's married IS A RED FLAG TO HIM. His behavior is reasonable. I get this is a fake cindrella drama but in real life, the friend is FAR MORE reasonable. Has she ever confessed that she likes the ML ? If she does, then...why is she pretending to be such a fool? Just admit to the 2nd ML at least.

I am sooo mad at the FL for not acknowledging how worried her friend was. He was worried sick and she behaves so weirdly with him. Its like she doesn't care about his feelings at all. So cold. Regardless of his romantic feelings, she should at least acknowledge the deep friendship they have. THEY'RE ALMOST FAMILY.

Here's my take.... Hyeri dragged her personal life into public. We don't know about the details of the "date of breakup" and WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW. The fact remains that the relationship wasn't working and he got out of it. It doesn't matter if he moved on fast. I am not gonna judge him for that. That's it! Also, my aunt often said, " You don't need a bf to go on trips". Just saying!

Ikr...she kisses without consent, is self obsessed and spoiled but I like her because only she can play the role of wife and mother and notblose her identity in the process because she's rich. She has the resources to handle things nicely.

You have seen 1 episode which is one of the only dark episodes of the drama. Had you seen more episodes, you would have understood that Goblin is mostly centered around comedy and bromance. As for her not having a choice...lol! That's SOO UNTRUE. She has the choice (twice) to live her life normally without any of the abilities...like most people and she rejected it TWICE and worked against GOD and nature to remember him and have him back (once in her mid/late twenties and another time in her 30s) .

Lastly, instead of wishing for a normal life and death...she chooses to not forget her life and become supernatural creature herself...even after death, she chooses him. Like, let go of him after death?? Get a new life? But she said NO!

While I don't condone romance with a high schooler...that's not what goblin is about. Its far more complicated than that.

If anything,the main romantic couple of the drama is THE SECOND COUPLE.

This is common for BL dramas coming out of China...I just wanted to check if this also has several assault romaticising themes and Yuuup! Its true. Over the course of time, you willsee several people defending ir and writing full paragraphs to somehow defend it. It is because of them that these nasty writers (mostly females who fetishize gays) and producers sitting in china keep churning out one assault story after another. In this echo chamber, nobody is gonna tell you this...but chinese BLs are infamous for having GRAPE SUBCULTURE AND RABID FANS. Also, if you see these drama reviews on mdl...its mostly the same group of people...circlejerk. Your name engraved herein was the LAST GOOD mainstream drama in mandarin. Probably because it WASN'T A BL...but fell in the category of queer content

Hard disagree. Clichés? The dramas AFTER this were cliché. This was the standard. Most fantasies are a copy of this. The first episode was my favorite as someone who loves the original folk religions ans cultures of Asia. The performance of the child actor still gives me chills.

Secondly, this isn't a romance story. Its about Goblin! If anything, its about friendship and bromance.

The romance becomes the focus only when she's in her mid twenties and finally takes off when she's in her 30s. All three times, she chooses him and its not the other way round.

The writers (mostly female who fetishize gays) should be banned for romaticising assault....and while it happens in non bl dramas as well,those dramas are altered completely when they are aired to make sure that the content is not animalistic...that ain't the case with BLs...straight up psychos romanticised!
