Skipped through the End

I was SO excited for this season. Then I saw the ratings and wondered if I’d be wasting my time and honestly 30 episodes is A LOT. Still, I decided to take the risk, convincing myself that the ratings might be misleading.

Well… things were actually going fine at first. And then came the double dates. From that point onwards, everything went downhill so fast.

And NO, I’m not saying this just because all my ships were sinking . I survived that! The real problem was that there was nothing left to hold on to. Everything became soo predictable, and straightforward that there was barely any excitement left. No tension, no anticipation, no OMG WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?

Let me summarise it
• Lan Lan and Dr. Fang were basically a done deal after their first official date. Jiao Zhou never really stood any chance. All his efforts were pointless. There was no suspense at the end whatsoever

•Le Chan, Dou Dou, and Lu Yuan/Ruilong’s dynamic was the most interesting one.. BUT THEN LE CHEN STARTED ACTING WEIRD WITH DOU DOU. Even if his feelings changed yet still the way he kept avoiding her was painful to watch. And Ruiling was such a gem. Only if dou dou had opened her heart a little for him.

•And when it came to Le Chan and Lu yuan, I’m sorry but… I simply did not care about them anymore. Their trip was SO boring that it genuinely put me to sleep. I was literally skipping through it just to get it over with.

•Chi Chi , Zihan and Yu Xing were little bit of mystery till the end. And I don’t even know why, but I was weirdly rooting for Yu Xing . I know he wasn’t the right fit for Chi Chi, and honestly, we could see exactly why. But for some reason, I kept hoping he would get better.

Overall, this season just didn’t give me the romance I was expecting. Rather than feeling cute, romantic, and heart-fluttering, so many moments felt cringey and, honestly, a little fake.
And instead, I ended up skipping episodes.
