Started this today.. what's the problem with ML's family? Why are they outcasted?

So if I understand generation to generation (still on ep3) but from MDL spoilers:

1. Aunt and Uncle (Demon King's brother) were lovers
2. ML is demon king's son (Uncle's nephew)
3. Generation TO generation means aunt's niece (FL) AND Uncle's nephew (ML) carry their legacy and love story.

I wish they got true to the Webtoon. Webtoon was so beautiful. I did absolutely not like this one. I have to read the webtoon again to remove this crap off my head.

I would have loved it if it was a different story and not linked with the webnovel.. they used the same names, but changed everything.. literally everything.. should have changed the names of characters as well... the horrendous part was the stupid love triangle.. like are you serious? There was no love triangle in webtoon.

Ps. I binged watched it as I was anxiously waiting for my favorite story to be in live action.. they disappointed me so bad.

I wish they had Zhang Sans diary in modern world where teen Ml is silently watching our teen FL and waiting for her to comeback from the novel in 2026.

A dream within a dream is similar to this one.. happy ending both inside and outside the story.

Everybody sad that 2D characters will die.. but why wouldnt they? The story has to end.. the story has to do all the things written before hand. Wan and Dan can only recourse it a bit, major events will still happen. We know they will win! We know people will die! Our leads will die separately leaving one in the novel.. so this is all expected! The story has to finish for them to go back in the original world which is safe and secure.

So I am glad, story is progressing!
