In their first life they didn't know each other until they were caught up in the war briefly. It was only by chance…
Yeah I know but there are some scenes that make me confused.

By looking at the trailers and the synopsis, will they get another chance? I see some trailers where FL with hair down (Presumably unmarried) runs to hug Song Mo (with grey hair).. there is another one where he is smiling and hugging DZ with her hair down. There is also one more where he says - with my last breath, i will return for you. So putting my thoughts out here.

The problem is that the ending is unnecessary. Heard they changed it from the novel. And yes real life isn’t…
Thats what we are saying. They redeemed the character, he was a green flag and not a black flag. If a novel can give them happy ending, the sad ending with a ML living a pathetic life after his beloved gone is the punishment to the characters who played the role and us who watched the role. There was a hope that after the wedding they will end up together.

Life n death isnt in everybody's control. Even if they wanted her dead, they should have shown ending similar to queen of tears and as beautiful as you. Where atleast after so much struggle, the leads got to live a beautiful life with kids. The ending in this drama showed that even the maids didnt know much about their empress. Lol.. that was some shit ending.

Sry, but how was this ending more creative or original? It follows the exact same usual massacre of killing likable…
I agree. I would rather watch criminal documentaries or biographical dramas than a romantic-revenge historical drama. We watch these type of dramas for guilty pleasure hoping for a satisfaction we dont get in everyday life. I dont mind sad endings if its necessary. But forcefully making a character pathetic is not totally for me.

Personally, as much as I love romance, the moment they made the leads' relationship and romance the focal point…
Exactly my point. We get attached to it. Its my choice to watch romance or revenge.. but if you are giving romance, people expect to have happy ending. Nobody wants romeo and juliet when our everyday life sucks anyway. Not to forget people spending money for the episodes. Nobody goes in there expecting it a bad ending.

I dont agree. Thats not on actors but the screenwriters. They need to understand the needs of audience. Out of 100 people may be 5 or 6 would be okay with this ending, the rest of us are not happy.. the whole purpose of watching dramas is to escape the stress and not to add-on the stress.

The romance focused audience is the most blind audience that doesn’t focus on detail, a destroyer of good ratings…
Its not about non-sensical. People are already stressed out from their shitty daily life and the dramas are their escape. Think it of like Disney.. which is happiest place on earth.. Why? because it takes you to a different level of ride with different emotions and then you get a closure with a happy ending.

I agree you want creativity, but 80% if population is looking for an escape. To shut their brains and enjoy the movie. They dont want to dream about sad endings.

If the ending is sad, then it should belong to a different genre and not romance. When people come and watch romance, they expect happy ending because thats how the fairy world is!
