I honestly don’t see why people act like using AI is automatically a bad thing. AI is a tool, and at this point…

When they finally give us some comedy, people start complaining 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️Like, what made…
For me, the only thing that got me into the drama, and the only thing keeping me watching despite the writing, is Hyeri 😂 I really love her as an actress, so honestly… that’s my only reason for still watching 😛

You asked whether there was a lot of AI-generated content, I explained why I don’t think AI use is inherently disqualifying, and your rebuttal is “did I ask?”, if you wanted a yes-or-no answer with no opinions attached, you probably should’ve asked a search bar instead of posting a question to a public forum

The “AI-generated content” tag is putting me off starting this… is there a lot of it?
I honestly don’t see why people act like using AI is automatically a bad thing. AI is a tool, and at this point it’s being used in pretty much every industry. We need to accept that instead of acting like using a tool somehow makes your work less legitimate. It’s like saying a mathematician isn’t a real mathematician because they used a calculator 😅

But with this particular drama, I don’t think the real issue is whether they used AI or not. The issue is the actual writing. If the writing is bad, then criticize the writing. Turning everything into an “AI bad” argument is just missing the point

Episode 8 has to be my favorite so far. It was by far the most interesting. I was genuinely surprised to learn that Hana is Woo Seobin’s sister, and now I’m so curious to see when she’ll finally find out herself. I also loved that, even though the other one isn’t his biological mother, he still considers her his mom. That scene really hit me emotionally. This episode was so good

Lol, I have a question. I’m already on episode 7, and I think I missed something. 😛 There’s no way I’m restarting the show, though. How do Soobin and Ijae know Yoogun? And why didn’t Soobin want to cast him? It feels like he really doesn’t like Yoogun

I’m just curious why the actors accepted roles in this K-drama. I always thought big-name actors were more selective and wouldn’t take roles that could potentially hurt their careers if the project ended up flopping.

Why are K-drama dads who happen to be doctors always the WORST fathers? 😭

I’m going to try to be as objective as I possibly can, because I don’t think I was capable of giving a completely unbiased opinion at first. I like Hyeri, and she’s actually the main reason I started this drama in the first place. So naturally, I went into it with a certain level of goodwill toward the show. But putting that aside, I have to admit that I’m not connecting with this drama on either a narrative or character level. For the ML, there’s something about his performance that isn’t working for me. I don’t necessarily think he’s a bad actor, but his emotional expression feels very restrained, and at times almost static. I often struggle to understand what his character is feeling without the dialogue explicitly telling me. That makes it difficult to become emotionally invested in him.As for Hyeri, this one is harder for me to say because I genuinely like her. But I do feel like I’m starting to see a pattern in her performances. The mannerisms, expressions, comedic timing, and emotional delivery can feel very similar from one project to another. Of course, some of that could be a casting issue , if she keeps being offered roles built around the same type of personality, it’s difficult to know how much of it is the actor and how much is the characterisation. But as a viewer, I’m starting to feel less like I’m watching a new character and more like I’m watching different versions of the same character. And the flashbacks with the school uniforms… 😭 I honestly found them more distracting than effective after a while. But my biggest problem is actually the writing. The story gives me this overwhelming feeling of déjà vu. It’s not necessarily terrible, but it feels like another combination of familiar K-drama ingredients that we’ve already seen countless times. Changing the setting, characters, or circumstances doesn’t automatically make a story feel fresh if the underlying narrative structure remains the same. And honestly, I think this is becoming a bigger problem with K-dramas in general. We have incredible actors, huge production budgets, beautiful cinematography and so much creative potential, yet too many dramas are still relying on the same recycled premises, relationship dynamics, character archetypes and tropes.I’m not asking every drama to reinvent television. I just want to feel like I’m watching something that has its own identity.K-dramas have proven that they can tell incredibly original and ambitious stories. I just wish the industry would take more risks again instead of constantly repackaging what already worked.

That said, it’s still way too early to make a final judgment ,we’re only four episodes in. So I’m keeping an open mind; maybe the story will take an unexpected turn and completely change my mind by the end.

I’m watching Sweet Home for the second time and WOW… I genuinely forgot just how good this drama is. 😭 It’s officially one of my top 10 K-dramas, and the fact that it managed to hook me this hard AGAIN says everything.

I seriously don’t understand why seasons 2 and 3 are rated so poorly. Maybe they’re different from what people expected, but personally? I LOVE this whole franchise. The atmosphere, the monsters, the characters, the tension, the whole concept… there’s just something about it that pulls you in and doesn’t let go.

And honestly, I’m kind of sad that we don’t get K-dramas like this anymore. I want something dark, intense, unpredictable and actually memorable. Sweet Home had that feeling. I just wish they would make more dramas with this kind of ambition because I’m SO tired of watching the same recycled stories over and over again. 😭

I watched a few but so far if I can be sincere, I watched the four episodes and is not hyeri but the plot I don't…
I’m a woman, and I’m indifferent to him, he’s just another actor to me. I’m a fan of Hyeri, but honestly, this drama hasn’t done anything special so far. It just feels like another typical drama

Apparently, you haven’t been watching Netflix lately or I don’t know Netflix here in the USA lately we’ve…
I wasn’t talking about K-dramas. 😉 However, Netflix original K-dramas usually drop all of their episodes on the same day

Can we normalize releasing all the episodes at once? 😭 Netflix spoiled me. I’m a binge-watcher, not a “wait seven business days for two episodes” watcher. Why are K-dramas determined to test my patience? 🥲🥲
