So Very Cute Series!

I've already re-watched this cute story a couple of times (the "uncut" version is better but the "censored" version is pretty darn good itself). Aside from the great production quality, and great acting, the story is cute and the internal dialogue of the characters is hysterical! Some of the jokes/behaviors of these two idiots (affectionate) are very subtle but worth looking out for. It is also interesting as a historical snapshot in time of a BL series "romance" (compared to the overtly explicit modern examples like "4 Minutes").

Very Cute But Too Short Film

One of the cutest short films I've seen in a long while. A speed-run through familiar themes of self-realization and coming out, but VERY well done with minimal dialogue, meaningful montages, and a pleasant soundtrack. And, I did tear up quite a bit in the last 5-8 minutes. Already re-watched it a couple of times.

So Many Unresolved Storylines...

No fault to the amazing cast (including so many amazing guest stars!), the storytelling/pacing/continuity of this show was not great. So many one-off plot points that were never resolved (including who the main characters really are!) make watching this series difficult to watch at best. The first half of the series ("haunted-object-of-the-week") was far better than the second half ("doomsday-cult-of-God-maybe"). Worth a watch, but don't get your hopes up for any plot resolutions - it seems like they were setting this up for a Season 2 to explain Season 1.

Who'd Have Guessed Such A Silly Premise Would...Work?

I started watching Caged Again as a silly little distraction from other "serious" shows, and ended up falling in love with it. On paper, it shouldn't work but it does. Just the right amount of high school angst, "who I am really?" reflection, silly situations, humor, 4th wall breaking, and serious topics/tension. Even the now-commonplace BL ingredient of a time jump at the end made perfect sense in context and was absolutely delightful. Give it a try - it's worth it.

Cute But VERY Short Series

Standard (but cute) story of crossed connections in high school reconnecting at Uni. The boys did a good job with the short format and material presented, and gave realistic performances of (perceived) one-way crushes in youth; they would do well in a longer format series, and their story is worth exploring more.

Easy, Pleasant Watch

A simple, easy story with pretty actors but without much drama - definitely worth a watch, but don't expect much, especially with the secondary couples and characters as they're not developed at all. Filling out this paragraph because MDL seems to think people want detailed reviews but without any actual details...

Cute, Realistic, Thoughtful Short Film

I love these "independent" short films; they're typically a breath of fresh air after consuming so much "quantity over quality" BL media these days. Not at all what I expected, but I found myself engrossed and then sad when it ended so soon. These young filmmakers should be given a larger budget and artistic freedom to explore these everyday issues.

Slower-paced Than Most, But Worth A Watch

Aside from the drawn-out scenes (the family dinner, for example), this film has a bit of depth to it. Watching the two main boys navigate (with dubious success at times) their way through the conflicting emotions of their job, their "Johns", their family, and each other, really makes you experience their lives very nearly from a first-person POV. At times segments are uncomfortable to watch, but worth it.

Not Sure What This Is, But It's Not A BL

(Minor Spoiler, Maybe) This short film appears to show a lazy class clown and grumpy studious transfer student trying to get along long enough to tutor each other to passing their senior year exams; however, they end up just bickering the whole time. They can't stand to be in each other's presence for more than a few minutes before arguing. Aside from that, it's difficult to tell what's going on because of the execrable subtitles, which are absolute gibberish.

Slowest of the Slow / No Chemistry

Unless you love the minutiae of Taiwan high school academics, don't bother. The plot hadn't moved an inch in six episodes, and the two characters of this "grumpy traumatized boys become reluctant step-brothers" family drama have no commonality. Nothing more to say but have to meet MDL’s ridiculous 300 minimum character limit…
