At first I thought the leads were look-alikes of Zhao Jinmai and Song Weilong😅😅
They look way too malnourished than their previous works…. Why are they being starved??

I was astonished with the amount of free time a “cardiac surgeon “ could have….. ig he has hermoine’s pocket watch and just goes back in time everyday so he can have 48 hours instead of 24😜

I watched it completely because of the high ratings…. Frankly fell flat after the “slow burn”. I like having 2nd 3rd and 4th leads but sometimes it felt like there was no story to tell, just a cooking and singing show rolled into one. The ML felt like he was mansplaining and the FL felt fake most of the time. Even the flashbacks didn’t have a point to make. Could have used my 25 hours better😒

I liked the story… no obvious loopholes or overly cheesy characters. Liked the manhua type characterisation of Chen lisu and his love interest. There was just the right amount of love, action and angst for me. I just couldn’t get past the villain scenes fast enough. Watched the whole series in 2x and didn’t make any difference to the viewing experience lol.

Ummm… I really enjoyed it on 2x….. even the dialogues are slow I agree…. But the plot and acting are good for this genre whatever it’s called. I don’t watch this kind of series but got hooked after 10-12 eps…

This was a problem to me too….. how can a person’s personality change?? He should still be all that he was before and love her for who she is and not change😏😏 or is it that he was acting as a brooding silent person before just to keep her in check…. That wasn’t made clear…. His interactions with his parents and brother at the beginning didn’t show it either…. Lost opportunity there

It’s been some time since a good kdrama was out….. WLGYT was a standout but you need to go back good 7-8 months to get a good one…. I the meanwhile I’ve binged on several Chinese and Japanese series

Is it just me or does anyone else also feel the need for more angst than comedy? The beginning of the series led me to believe there will be more angst. Yes, the comedy is also good but I feel the lack of consistency over the episodes, a genre so to say. It started off tragic, moved on to a serious-ish theme then turned comedic where the screenplay could have been more angsty with subtler comedy. Especially the scene where they act as a loving couple- the idea development scenes were somewhat unnecessary. I would have enjoyed it far better had there been a constant background tone to the series than this roller coaster ride.

I feel torn between hating the ml for what he did and understanding why….. my dad would have been the same had he been from a richer family=(=(
