This is just a guess. But I’m starting to believe they did film 40 episodes worth of content, but had to cut…
they trimmed the maximum the childhood flashback parts and they did it right...for example they did unnecessary flashback eps up to 23 in Lighter and Princess drama..it could have been 24 eps easily too..36 eps was very dragged...i almost skipped 90% of the childhood parts still got connected to the characters...here they did the same thing..
I always felt like 90 % of dramas I watched ended the important stuff around 12th episode and the remaining 4…
as i said above then why 12 eps? make a movie ...there are so many 16 eps drama without stretching and boring episodes..its director's fault or script writers..i think there are something more issue....or different reason...

i have no problem with drama...but it was supposed to be a sports drama..there not even 5% sports in it...also where romance? total 1 kiss..that too in in ep 27...

I agree but where was e sports? 90% time was ML get into team and kick out from the team..ep 32 He made his own team but never showed the game good way...and when it was getting interested the gamethey made 2nd FL fake blind and created another drama...
with best director who did master piece "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" ..i trust him he will pull it off under 16 eps…
Korean drama Itaewon Class also Japan did remake under 13 ep and each ep only 45 min..but they did same quality as per kroean..so I better say dont compare it scene by scene..just screen play and story how it goes that's the matter...

ofc I hate this drama and i cleared my points...in the last ep last moment Ml and FL get together on stage...only 1 kiss in whole drama (if u out the force kiss) ..ML cnt even choose between fl and 2fl..always goes by talk rather than action and then too much politics in gaming industry ..but its ok..it happens many drama ..but nothing seems realistic..no character development..I had a huge hope from this drama..until ep 20 i was so excited..then it falls like from top of the mountain..
