im glad i didnt ghost this show

there's not much im gonna say that would be helpful to a person looking to start this show or not. but I will say that it took me on a journey that i will always be grateful for. through the perspectives of people who still live amongst us in every form but physical, to how love and family, even platonic and found can be home. one of the best shows produced by GMMTV, and one of the best shows ive seen.
p'dome-the legend this man is, and the glamorous evil that resides in him- thank you for creating the glorious bliss this show is. i really really hope to see more of your work, to watch the twitter rambles (and the fires you set with evil laughter in the background).

its so simple. its so fragile. its so hazardous.

this show was an artform, in and of itself. the way it showed these scenes of deep meaning and dark nature with such simplicity- from Haoren's repeated assaults as a part of a prostitute agency to Maya's suicide- not a single scene was shown to be exaggerated nor normalised. it was shown as the characters' perceived it- horrifying but with no luxury to linger.
i have such deep respect for both the actors of Chihiro and Haoren. their performance was, hands down, one of the best acting performances there have ever existed. the amount of grace, light heartedness, breeze, depth, angst, longing, confusion and brutality they display in the span of 8 very short episodes is exemplary to say the least.
2 more things that i loved about this show are the color coding and the music.
the color coding is done with such care for the characters- chihiro's transition from brights to neutrals to semi darks and then brights again shows how he is never lost at hope. how he may not know anything except that there is still hope. on the other hand, haoren's dark normalcy taking a break after he returns from jail- a sign that for the first time in his life, he can hope for a better sunrise tomorrow, such such beauty. he returns to his dark colors when he revists what he thinks is his past- chihiro. a past that only had one light, a light that only chihiro could be. i believe that in their life from beyond where we saw is them existing bright and each others'.
now coming to the music- it is eery, it is indie, it is slightly up-beat, it bleeds from normalcy to brutality with ease and no wonder. it doesn't intensify to add value to the scene because this is their life, this is their horrifying reality and they dont get to change their music. it is so painful, it is so beautiful. thank you to the creatives behind this show- you have made a masterpiece of a lifetime.

i got good things out of this show, none of them were related to the plot

i am weirdly grateful for this series because it was like the third thai bl i watched when i got into them about an year back, and it introduced me to Force and Book... that further made me wanna watch Only Friends and OF because my favourite show ever. also it made me crush on Ohm Tpk's character, hence pushing me a little to watch Last Twilight... and also i discovered Our Skyy 2 from this show, then watched MSP because their episodes seemed interesting... so basically this show was my big push into the thai bl fandom, even though the plot was "you cant even try to use your brain for this hot mess"

Therapy At Its Best

if you're looking for a show that will catch you by the most pleasant surprises in every single episode, a show that will make you yearn for friendship and love, a show to make you laugh and make you moist-eyed- THIS IS THE SHOW FOR YOU.

A very simple story of true friendship, the best friendship in fact, ive ever seen in a BL. A show with all sorts of love- platonic, romantic, brotherly, admirational- at its core.

Every single dynamic of the lovely couples is so so unique and cherished, but the friendship every one of them finds in each other is never once left behind. every character is valued, even if they are a supporting character.

the humor is peak thai bl jokes mixed with the progress that the industry has shown in the past few years. the music is definitely suiting to each couple. the cinematography, even if a bit choppy, is delightful and easy.

everything is valued, everything is cherished, and everything is in place. the actors have done a phenomenal job. while i cannot stop gushing about everyone, I feel like Poon Mit deserves a standing ovation for joining in mid shooting, developing amazing chemistry with a complete stranger, and with the rest of the cast. i cannot believe anyone else could've pulled Pun's character off as well as Poon did. while i have seen most of the other cast members in other shows, i truly believe this was their best work by far. each character is my true favourite, and shall remain so for a very long time.

i love this show very much, and i have seen many people do the same. i dont know what it would feel like watching it for the first time after it has aired, but the anticipation i had felt waiting for every wednesday was a feeling that begun to feel like home.
