or more like "if friendship could kill"

Human beings are the only creatures that have the ability to speak, but they can't communicate. As long as human beings' selfish desires exist, no one can break the curse.
I am not into these horror , mystery thriller, and gruesome shows, but people on Reddit said it's kinda similar to "Night Has Come", so I picked it up. I went with fewer expectations, but the acting amazed me.
Honestly, there are a lot of loopholes in the plot; I can't even fathom whether it is an open ending or a season 2 teaser .
The cast gave their everything , it felt realistic with their acting. *clap clap*
Maybe it could be better if we could get 12 episodes to show some character story and about their friendship; it passed too fast, even though I was rooting for the second main lead and the female lead, but we needed more of their parts.
The story was jumping back and forth with the storyline, so it was kinda confusing
If season 2 gets announced, then of course I will watch it because I watched season 1 and want answers to my questions, but I do think the plot could be better.
Avoid if you can't watch blood and gore, and please check trigger warnings.

I think i have found my fav jdrama

Not a regular J-drama watcher and someone who actually struggles to get into and finish them, I am glad I gave this one a try.
It felt personal, and I rarely rewatch dramas, but I think this is the one I'd love to rewatch if I had time, and I'll recommend it to my friends too.

Children with special needs representation, handled subject matter and society taboo topics well, less forced physical intimacy, more relationship dynamics seen, no grooming typa age-gap(both were adults), great acting and nothing felt over-acted, struggling adulthood, importance of literacy, self-growth, more character depth, and every character took responsibilty of their actions at the end
I mostly watch kdramas and cdramas, so I always struggled with jdrama's pacing and the acting, but this one was very well written

So me giving a jdrama 9/10 IS a HIGH rating! I love it when dramas make me write episode-by-episode reviews, and I keep thinking about them even after finishing, and I did that in this drama
Only one point less because stalking is something that SHOULDN'T be taken lightly, it is DANGEROUS and should be dealt with accordingly. Secondly, in toxic relationships, it is best to walk away; don't waste more years. Thirdly, why jdramas always wrap up the "and they got together "part in the last 10-20 minutes of the last episode T_T At least give a separate episode for that haha .

IT'S UNDERRATED , PLZ WATCH IF YOU ARE HAVING A HARD TIME AS AN ADULT

starting a new year with this drama is so good. Every character had their struggles and stories. dani struggling to get a job , not giving up , it was sad to watch how society doesn’t accept us when we are around 30-40 , it’s not “old” . we still can utilize this time . eunho’s character was such a comfort , it made me realize that you need someone to cheer you up , doesn’t matter even if it’s a one person .I loved Wi ha joon’s , even though he is a very famous actor , this was my first time seeing him in a role and i think the role suited him the very best. every character is previous to me :( it was such a great time to have y’all here . I am closing the book too but it will remain in my heart and whenever i feel sad , i will open it for comfort . the ending note made me teared up :(

Not every drama needs ROMANCE and it's OKAY

See, not every drama leads have to end up together or develop a romance arc .
Friendship is sufficient enough , I loved the relationship between the four people when they sat down and worked on the case , a shame we didn't get the group scenes so much .
The old man needed more love; come on, he did ALOT for dong baek
HEHE that junior guy who had a crush on Superintendent Han would make a nice couple.
Also, the detective already had someone he loved in the past

About the story:
It was trackable at first but then after ep 10 THEY KEPT ADDING CHARACTERSSS , so hard to keep track of who is who , too many names . But still I managed to, and the killer was someone I didn't think of so it was GOOD
and NGL I am with the eraser , our justice system is shit and favours the rich people who get away with every horrible thing and the poor has to suffer.

Simplest adaptation

I think is the 3rd jdrama I enjoyed watching . Tho , i still had problem with the pacing but i think cdrama , kdrama and jdrama pacing of relationships are different and they wanted to wrap this drama fast

Aren't most J-dramas around 10-12 ep? I wonder why they finished this one earlier. the manga is still going on , maybe that's why

I was able to relate with fl's "good girl" persona , and when she said that "I was child of convenience more than a good child" I FELT ITTTTT

Yes, ML had a broken childhood, but I am glad he is surrounded by good friends now .

Also, the female lead's acting was hard to watch sometimes , and the age gap was less evident , i think it is the major part of the story , but both of them looked of same age (I mean, they even are , real life )

I will read the manga if I am able to find it in english , because the characters had potential.

Really want to be a part of SF club haha

I loved the idea of SF club , irrespective of their age , people can come together and inspire each other to draw .

I feel like the story was too rushed in the last episode .her parents were trash and you are telling me everything got resolved in 1 episode? i need to read the webtoon to understand better , i am sure that will be detailed .

I found Seon Ho and Geu Rin's relationship very messy , they were avoiding each other and not communicating , it was stuck in an endless loop , infact many of the leads were victim of miscommunication.

i was mostly interested in Taeng Ja and khaki's and Tae Seon and sera's relationship lololol , if there is a second season , i hope these character's can get spotlight too !!

All for a house? Yes , why not

I was suprised at first , what do you mean , you got married because of house, and have no place to go ?
But then , Jiho felt too relatable, she is the every eldest daughter , graduating from big uni and people keep saying that lit / social sciences have no careers . i can understand why her mother was mad , she fought for her daughters's education and her job , so just giving up and marrying feels like a betryal to her . but then i do understand the daughter too , it's hard to meet all the expectations and reach the potiential which everyone thinks of you , you get burned out and tired . but then we see how she stills wants to work , because even though , you got married , got a roof , you still want to work , and it's okay , i agree with it

3rd main couple is deeply suffering from miscommunication , and I find their relationship kinda toxic too. , it tackles topics like why are you still not married even after dating for that long? at first it was misscommunication but then , now that i think of it , i am on the woman side . men really don't want to take responsibilty , what do you mean love and marriage are not the same for you when you both were dating for 6-7 years ?? basturd

The writing of this drama was very well , hoping the writer makes a comeback again
My problem with this show was how last episode was rushed . it felt like the writer wanted to wrap up all fastly .
the love trigangle they tried to make with the cafe guy and then sehee's ex was so unnecessary tho .
also it was frustrating how sehee wasn't able to communicate his feelings until the very last episode
Still i enjoyed watching this show , now it is in one of my favorites

No plot just vibes

Okay so I loved the first half of the film- beautiful visuals , cherry blossom, bookstore , feeling lonely in a new environment, shy/awkward to communicate, fear of stranger danger , lingering here and there on a bicycle, watching movies in cinema but fearing dark theater, desperate to find connection like home and female lead's dressing especially.
Until it was revealed WHY she moved there , Pfft that was a turn off

Healthiest relationship I have ever seen in c-dramas

I am a regular k-drama watcher so When I completed "Romance Is a bonus book" , I was looking for dramas with similar plots and this popped up in recs.
My main complaint with Chinese dramas is their long episodes. But after watching this drama I can say it was prolonged and that's how life works, some days and moments are fillers and some days are good.
Fl's mom mostly annoyed me, especially with how she treated her daughter.
I loved the character development of ruoxin's best friend and her husband's relationship, and how gradually they came on good terms.
This drama portrayed female emotions very well, from ruoxin feeling pressurized by work and her mother to her best friend being a housewife and thinking ruoxin has a better life than her cuz she is single.
Dylan wang's acting was also very good and this was my first drama of him , will love to see his work more.
about Qi Xiao's character, he indeed was a mature man who knew his boundaries and made sure ruoxin felt comfortable with him .

Crazyyy Cast but

I rarely start ongoing dramas , because I have no self-control and it keeps me hooked to the story too. But when I saw Arthur's new drama with Dilraba and Miles was dropping, I couldn't help but start it from the first episode. I devoured the first 20 episodes! But I think something shifted after that; the story felt boring, and I still wasn't able to understand what happened in Nandu and Xu's family dynamics. Dilraba made me her fan with this drama, and the role suited her. This is my second drama with Arthur Chen, and I am grateful to him for introducing me to costume dramas. I would love to explore more of them. The story and plot and visuals could be better but the actors delivered good performance , though I felt arthur's performance less in this drama than in When destiny brings you the demon, but then again, he was a mortal with great courage and strength, and his character shouldn't overshadow Dilraba's He Simu. what happened with chenyang broke me, poor soul :(
Miles's role was as a villain, and i REFUSE to sympathise with him TILL THE END , for what he did. This wasn't love at ALL; no romanticising these typa lunatics.
Was it explained in the end why the powerful sword chose him as an owner? Maybe because of his strength?
