Paying attention is exactly why I’m criticizing it. The show fails to draw a moral line between discipline and physical abuse. Beating teenagers to "teach them a lesson" doesn’t reform them, it just instills fear, teaches them to be sneakier next time, and proves to them that whoever is the most violent gets to win.

Using an extreme murder scenario to defend a middle aged man beating teenagers to the pulp misses the point entirely. There’s a huge difference between strict discipline that reformed kids and using pain to force compliance.

I really don’t understand how so many people keep praising this show as it is literally praising corporal punishment of students. I get that most of the students portrayed in the drama are bullies and violent, but there definitely are different ways of disciplining them and reforming them. If as educator, your only resort is beating kids to make them comply then you shouldn’t be an educator.
