not worth the value of one weeks subscription.

I had no coins / free options and when the subscription converted to my currency it was crazy expensive. nearly double what the value was on the subscription option. I will avoid all shows from this app moving forward

is there a kiss scene ??? after being ripped off a kiss scene once before I’m now cautious with school setting BLs. I get it if they are young actors etc so i respectfully avoid them and leave them for those who enjoy the more innocent love. I don’t need hot and heavy NC scenes (but don’t get me wrong I do enjoy them) but I need a kiss scene to get my happy ending feels at least

On Only Friends: Dream On 9 days ago
😍 Only friends dream on 🇹🇭 9.5/10

The missing .5 is entirely due to poor Gawin’s acting. Some scenes felt painfully cringe, and he was clearly pushed into a role way outside his current range. He’s just not a particularly strong actor yet, and the performance struggled because of it. 🫣

I still love Only Friends though. It feels messier, more chaotic, and honestly more realistic than a lot of BLs. The relationship drama, bad decisions, jealousy, hookups, emotional trainwreck energy… it all weirdly reminded me of being younger and watching friendship groups implode in real time 🍷🔥

It’s such a fun watch because nobody is perfectly good or perfectly awful. Plus Earth Pirapat Watthanasetsiri and Mix Sahaphap Wongratch were definite highlights for me, and Neo Trai Nimtawat absolutely understood the assignment. Every time Neo appeared, the chaos dial somehow jumped another 20%.

I vote for only friends to get around all the GMMTV cast so they all get a go of it haha.

This was a full stealth-mode release. No fanfare, no countdown, no warning. They just quietly dropped all 6 episodes on iQIYI and carried on with their day like nothing happened.

The episodes are all 25+ minutes, so there’s actually enough time to tell a proper story rather than speedrunning an entire relationship.

The plot follows two actors who are cast together in a BL. Things start off a little rocky between them, but as they spend more time together, their relationship gradually begins to evolve both on and off screen.

Nothing groundbreaking, but it’s a nice, easy watch. The pacing is comfortable, the story is straightforward, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need between all the emotional trauma, murder mysteries, revenge plots, and therapy-inducing BLs currently airing. 😭

On Private Lesson 9 days ago
Private Lessons on the True Film YouTube channel is a continuation/follow-up story to Winter Fever. In Winter Fever there was a love triangle, and the guy who lost out in that triangle now has someone chasing after him. It leans heavily into the whole tutor/student crush dynamic.

It’s only 4 episodes at around 15 minutes each, so it’s a super easy watch. Honestly though… kinda boring 😅 But because it keeps popping up in recommended watches and the episodes are so short, I ended up watching the whole thing anyway. It’s still kinda cute, I guess.

An average review for an average show haha

This show was a bit of a journey for me 😭

At the start, I genuinely wasn't sure whether the leads had much chemistry. I kept waiting for that spark, wondering if it was ever going to show up. Then, little by little, you start seeing the connection develop and suddenly I'm sitting there thinking, "Okay, now we're getting the BL feels."

And then... BAM. Out of nowhere, the show smacks you in the face with some seriously well-executed NC scenes 🌶️🔥

My biggest issue was probably the emotional consistency. There were moments where things felt a little slow and I found myself drifting, then other moments would sneak up on me and have me completely invested again. It wasn't a bad experience, just one that felt a little uneven at times.

That said, when the show was good, it was really good. The chemistry eventually landed, the romance worked for me, and there were definitely scenes that left an impression.

Lesson from the show is: be careful what you wish for.

In the end, I've settled on an 8/10. Not perfect, but definitely a series I'm glad I watched.

This Chinese BL was good. Just... good.

I enjoyed it, it was very much my kind of show, and I don't regret watching it. But when I sit down to review it, I'm struggling to pinpoint anything that truly elevated it from "good" to "great."

The story follows a tennis player whose career is impacted by an injury and the doctor who enters his life. The tennis player is wealthy, the doctor is not, and with medical expenses and a sick brother in the picture, the two end up entering a contract arrangement. Meanwhile, the tennis player seems to be drawn to him almost immediately.

The plot itself is perfectly watchable and there are enough emotional and relationship elements to keep things moving, but nothing really grabbed me and refused to let go.

What stood out most to me was the tone. The acting wasn't bad, but I rarely felt much joy coming from any of the characters. Most scenes seemed to sit somewhere between calm, angry, or sad. Whether that's an intentional creative choice, a reflection of the show's style, or simply a cultural difference in storytelling, I'm not entirely sure. It just left me feeling a little emotionally distant from the characters at times.

Overall, I liked it. It was an easy watch, the story worked, and the relationship kept me interested. I just never had that moment where I sat back and thought, "Yep, this one's special."

On Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami 9 days ago
I actually enjoyed this one and found myself looking forward to it every week.

Yes, the premise is essentially casual sex turning into something more meaningful, and yes, the top spends a good portion of the series being so full of himself that he could probably see his own reflection from space 🚩😭 But I really enjoyed watching Fukami slowly bring him back down to Earth.

Watching Fukami's opinion score go from a solid 0/10 to a 10/10 after one particular shower scene was honestly one of the most entertaining character arcs in the show.

Did it have a strong storyline? No.

Did it have spicy scenes? Yes, although it was more of a slow simmer than a five-alarm fire.

Did it have strong character and relationship development? Absolutely.

For me, that's what made the series work. Beneath all the flirting, questionable decisions, and inflated egos, there was genuine growth in the relationship. By the end, I was far more invested in the characters than I expected to be when I first hit play.

Life in the Smokey Blue and I had a complicated relationship... mainly because it kept trying to put me to sleep 😭

The only reason I initially picked this one up was because it paired nicely with Unexpectedly Naughty as a lunch-break watch. One gave me interest, the other gave me contemplation. Unfortunately, contemplation isn't always what my attention span is looking for.

The story follows a burnt-out man who reconnects with a former colleague, and the two gradually drift into a relationship of convenience. The problem for me wasn't the premise. It was the pace.

This show is slow. Not regular slow. Not "give it time to develop" slow. This is the kind of slow where the characters are busy self-reflecting while I'm busy checking my phone to see if anyone has posted BL spoilers elsewhere 💀

To be fair, it's very much a typical Japanese BL in that it's more interested in the characters surviving, healing, and figuring themselves out than chasing dramatic plot twists. I know a lot of viewers love that style.

I am apparently not one of those viewers.

It's not bad. In fact, I can absolutely see why some people would adore it. It just never quite clicked for me. The entire series felt like a gentle stroll through emotional introspection while I was over here looking for at least a brisk walk.

Honestly, I'm still a little surprised I made it through the whole thing. That's probably the strongest review I can give it. 😭

DOUBLE HELIX IS SOOOO GOOD 😭🔥

If you enjoy darker BLs filled with mind games, manipulation, morally questionable decisions, toxic tops, and enough walking, talking red flags to supply an entire Formula 1 race, then this one is absolutely for you.

China has entered the BL arena and immediately chosen violence. Their ability to create messy, obsessive, unhealthy relationships that somehow have me glued to the screen needs to be studied. Every episode feels like watching a disaster unfold in slow motion while simultaneously rooting for it. 🚩💀

The actors are fantastic, the chemistry is chemistrying, and despite censorship limitations, the intimacy and tension still come through surprisingly well. They show more than many people might expect, with plenty of topless scenes, passionate make-out moments, and clever editing that does a fantastic job of filling in the blanks. The camera work, reactions, and scene direction create the feeling that the characters are fully going for it, even though they're not showing as much on screen as you would typically see in a Thai BL.

That said, this definitely comes with trigger warnings. There are themes of non-consensual situations, manipulation, and emotional abuse, so your mileage may vary depending on your tolerance for darker content. Everyone draws that line in a different place.

As for the cast... the top ML is ridiculously attractive, and the top from the second couple is out here making sure nobody can concentrate on the plot either. Between the two of them, my attention span never stood a chance. 😭

And can we please talk about the OST for a second? 😭🎵

Because whoever was put in charge of the music absolutely understood the assignment. The songs don’t just sit in the background looking pretty. They actively amplify the tension, obsession, longing, and emotional damage happening on screen. There have been multiple times where a scene ended and I was left thinking, “Was it the acting that got me or was the soundtrack busy emotionally manipulating me again?”

Either way, it’s working. The OST is phenomenal and deserves far more attention than it’s getting.

This show is toxic. This show is messy. This show should probably come with a warning label.

And I am absolutely eating it up.

rating wise I have some that are 10/10 that are better so giving it 9.5/10.

I absolutely loved this from Episode 3 onwards 😭💕

So if, like me, you spent Episodes 1 and 2 wondering whether the cringe was going to defeat you, don't panic. Push through. Trust the process. Survive the second-hand embarrassment and keep going. It's worth it.

Once the story finds its footing, it really starts to shine. I loved the connection between the leads, the little mystery elements woven into the plot, and the way the series touches on LGBT themes and experiences from a historical perspective without losing sight of the romance.

I was already fond of this pairing from their supporting roles in Next Prince, but as leads they absolutely stepped up. They didn't just understand the assignment, they submitted extra credit, rewrote the marking guide, and left the audience wondering why they weren't given leading roles sooner 😭

The chemistry landed, the emotional moments landed, and by the end they served a full-course meal and left no crumbs behind.

I'm officially a fan of this ship. 👏 signing off NetJJ newest fan member.

Omg I want to call this a sweet story, but that would only be telling about 25% of the truth 😭

This show has drama like a heavy shot of black pepper, sadness like rain-soaked sandalwood, sweetness like vanilla and honey, and just enough sourness like a sharp burst of citrus to keep everything balanced.

It's all blended together into one beautifully chaotic fragrance that somehow works far better than it should.

I know this won't be everyone's scent profile. Some people are going to spray it once and immediately put it back on the shelf. But for me? This is the perfect little BL perfume. Complex, emotional, slightly addictive, and lingering in my thoughts long after the episode ends. 💕🌧️🍋✨

the cringe sound effects are doing my head in.

for a copy A Bangkok the NC scenes are lacking soo much. they seem to go either cringe and too much or insinuating in a frustrating way. they need to find the right balance.

good actors but the production and direction needs more work
