I finished the drama two days ago and I thought that final episode was nice but when I look it back , I see that…
Let's be honest Beiming wasn't being a cocky playboy. He's learnt his lesson and he's given up that attitude.
And, a lot of people suffer bullying and mistreatment in this world. Not everyone decides to become a murderer. Huang Wuchang was living like a beggar and getting beaten up but he didn't go down the murderous path until Bei Kun came in and recruited him. There is really no justification. Not for Bei Kun nor for Bei Hai, Wu Lei or the generals and the emperor.
I really need to write this review and today woke up with a migraine. It’s quite a pain in the butt. I know…
Don't worry about writing the review just yet. Get back to health and then you can post it. Maybe just write it down in your notebook for and post it later when you're feeling better.

You know I went to rewatch that part and I find myself disagreeing with you, sorry. Firstly, Beiming doesn't justify what the generals did. Secondly, I don't think it's wrong of him to say he wouldn't go down the path that Bei Kun did. Isn't that exactly how we as the viewers would think. In my opinion, Beiming in that moment is representing the viewer. Thirdly, he may have turned his back on his brother but he still mourned the loss of their relationship and we can see that in his eyes as he walks. Beiming was right, Bei Kun had the chance to leave his path and choose peace but he chose not to and in the end he still blamed Beiming for being the favoured one. But Beiming didn't choose the comfortable life he got. Bei Kun didn't have a comfortable life and he chose the sinister path. He could have run away and gotten away from the cruelty he was facing just like Miao Yun did but he chose to be sinister so in my opinion I cannot find a reason to sympathise with him. Just my thoughts on the point you made.
He doesn’t do many. Hope he has lots when he and Bai Lu’s series comes out. I also want him to star with Meng…
I don't think we should have high hopes for his kisses with Bai Lu since it's also another investigative drama and will probably not focus to heavily on romance between the two.
I have just seen avenue x review of the drama and her view pretty much aligns with the crowd who dropped the show…
Oh I accidentally came across her video last night and the things she said about the drama turned me off so bad like it's okay if you don't like a drama but please don't look down on the actors. Her comments about WXY annoyed me but what she said about Julia made me even more angry. The audacity 😡 so I disliked the video and left a comment called her stupid because I couldn't help being angry with her comments. I hope other viewers who enjoyed this show will call her out too.
Came back after a day and so happy the rating has gone up to 8.1. Thank goodness for that. I wish it could go higher but I won't be too greedy. Hopefully more people will discover this awesome series in the future and give it a good rating. By the way, is anyone planning to write fanfics of this series because I swear I need them. The show didn't give me enough Beiming–Peacock and Beiming–Xueman post-second marriage moments and I need them so bad like.
Finished watching the drama. I'll post a review later. All I can say for now is I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I guessed Tong Shuong aka Tong Peng was Yesha but what came as a total surprise and got me screaming was him turning out to be Bei Kun! WTAF was that lol?! I fully expected Peacock to be Beiming's brother but turns out I guessed wrong. Also the poison that was killing Beiming for half the series turned out to be the lifesaver of countless lives! Holy moly who'd have seen that coming. That was a real surprise. Will say more in my review later. This show is not worthy of the 7.9. It really should be 9.0 at least. Heck even Coroner's Diary wasn't this mind-blowing and yet that's sitting at a pretty 8.7. I have to admit I love The Wanted Detective waaayyy more than I enjoyed Coroner's Diary.
You watch episode 2 to episode 3 in just a click. It's easy to say you shouldn't or wouldn't hurt or lose trust…
I'll never get the hate for Xuemen. I admit I was biased against her too in the beginning but now I've come to understand her and I wish viewers wouldn't be so hard on her.
One of extremely talented and fav actor. But why this drama didnt have more watcher?
Because people want romance between the lead couple and this drama does not give them that. Plus it's the kind of show where one mystery is solved over the entire series and people these days have short attention spans and would rather have cases that are solved in a few episodes before moving on to the next thing. In short, most people don't have the patience for this kind of plot.
