It's story is so good, cinematography, set costumes and places also good. Idk why it's 7.9 maybe some anti or because international platform is region restricted, their international publication is bad not like other drama.

The Chinese have a strong belief in honoring traditions and deceased ancestors, that's why anything that portrays ghosts as an evil force is banned there. Also Violence, blood, gore, etc.

if you familiar with manhua or any comics story from china or based on novel cultivation almost every story have that kind of tropes and it feels weird in the LA because we don't usually see it in another drama.

well, in C-Drama they are not "Ghost" but demon or mythical creatures so yeah they 'should' dressed neatly, because thay are like upper rank in immortal realm.
but there's is a good looking ghost in k drama too, grim reaper & goblin from goblin, iu in hotel del luna, gumiho from nine tailed fox, and they are considered as upper rank.
