Comfort Watch

If you like cozy tv shows that just make you forget about life this is it! The romance is well paced, not too slow, not too fast. The acting is good too. There are some "stereotypical" shy acting but I see that it is common in Japanese shows so I don't judge. Furthermore, and I usually don't notice these things, but I really liked the camera work! Especially the way certain "subtle" looks were framed with not only the zoom into the face that makes it too on the nose.

Bright Potentional, Disappointing Outcome

If I were to rate on acting performance alone, this movie would be a 10. The subtle expressions, the tension, those the two actors pull off greatly. It is a shame it came with a lesser script. The relationship has no depth, and no other storyline gets it either. The kiss comes out of nowhere, followed by an unseen, ambiguous relationship, to then an abrupt separation. Only for a reunion to come out of nowhere. It feels like a puzzle with only the center pieces put in place, you still see a pretty picture, but it is incomplete.

Healing for the soul

I actually finished this series years ago. I thought it was a shame I didn't write a review, as I can still remember the joyful comfort it brought me. The romance was indeed "romancing" , with funny leads and great chemistry. The stong, unexpected sisterhood, where a show finally wrote "the other women" who wasn't some kind of man-obsessed, evil character or a green-tea. The light, yet engaging plot keeps you engaged throughout all episodes. It is exactly the kind of drama you need when life gets tough.

Can't Root for a Rapist

I've said it before and will say it again, rapist do not belong in bl. Not as main characters that get happy endings at least. Yes, the chemistry and acting is great. Yet getting someone gang raped and sexually assaulting your love interest is not something that should be normalized. Shiwcasing it in a light manner, never addressing it and giving no consequences to such actions IS normalizing it. To be clear, you can make a character and story dark, that is not what I dislike. It is the way it is of no importance in the story.

Fascinating Watch

I never would have thought that watching people do math and other intellectual problems could be so entertaining. I'm a college dropout so seeing how intelligent those students were was truly fascinating. Loved the competition and the teamwork. Huge respect to every single participant, whether they lost or not, every round was well done. Hyunbin though stole my heart with not only his incredible, and I really mean INCREDIBLE brain, but the way he led with empathy, making sure to encourage his team all the time.
