I commented after you because I wanted to gently bring the focus back to the specific injustice I was originally referring to: rating an episode before it has even aired.

I can absolutely see the argument for leaving a review after dropping a show early, just as I can understand waiting until the end of a series to give a more comprehensive review. Neither approach is inherently right or wrong. It really comes down to perspective.

That is why I usually read several reviews before deciding whether I want to invest my time in a show. I do prefer reviews from people who have watched the entire series, though, because sometimes a show is painfully slow for the first five episodes and then becomes incredibly good.

What I am specifically referring to is this: here in the U.S., it is July 20. Episode 12 is not scheduled to air until July 23, yet it already has a 4.6 rating from five users. That means users are being allowed to rate individual episodes before those episodes have even aired and therefore before they could possibly have watched them.

How are people ethically leaving low star reviews for episodes that haven’t aired yet? Have more episodes aired in other countries than we can access to on Viki or iQIYI? Why does MDL allow this? It’s like a moral injustice that episodes have 4 stars that haven’t dropped yet.

Where can you read the novel? I would love to start reading the novels that the Chinese dramas are based off of but I haven’t found the English translations yet 🙏🏼
