Inversión de roles
Lo que más me fascina de la serie es la inversión de roles. Todo el romanticismo, recae sobre el personaje masculino. Ji Bozai es el que más lucha por el amor, el que no tiene miedo a expresar sus sentimientos, a mostrarse vulnerable... Puede que Ming Yi le haya mentido, pero es capaz de empatizar con ella, al fin al cabo, también tiene sus propias luchas. Por ello no tira la toalla, prefiere reconquistarla, sólo espera que ella lo elija a él. Mingyi es fuerte e independiente y eso a él le gusta. Tambien es un personaje de contraste. Su imagen exterior es despreocupada y fría, pero en la intimidad es: cariñoso, protector con sus seres queridos, coqueto, travieso, mimoso, sensual y divertido.Si os gusta el romance, esta es una buena serie, sin duda.

'Key to the Phoenix Heart' is one of those series that you have to rewatch as soon as it ends because you're sure to have missed some details; it has a very rich plot. The entire script is incredibly interwoven right from the first episode. You can't look away for a second, or you'll miss something. When you add a top-notch cast to a script like this, magic happens.Xiao Wuji couldn't have been played by anyone other than Hou Minghao. His performance is incredibly passionate and intelligent. The character's first impression is that of a cold and ruthless nature; you need to see this side of him to understand and empathize with him later on. He carries his country in his heart, has a mission, and must fulfill it. Minghao paces his performance so masterfully throughout the entire series that it never ceases to amaze me.His chemistry with Xie Jiayu's character is incredible, and not just from a romantic point of view—they make a perfect team. The young actress, Aimee, is also very good and a pleasant surprise.From an aesthetic perspective, I'm glad the visuals are 'raw,' without excessive and unnecessary cosmetic enhancements that would spoil the "classic" feel of the story. I really like the characters' costumes and hairstyles.
The action scenes are fantastic. The stunts were performed by the actor himself, like the famous horseback riding scene with a red ribbon covering his eyes. Hou Minghao's dedication is admirable.
Another highlight is the soundtrack, performed by Hou Minghao himself. The opening and closing theme songs are wonderful. You can't fast-forward through them; you just have to listen. This is yet another talent from this young actor.

Personajes fuertes y carismáticos dentro de un guión de lujo.
No hay nada que me guste más, que unos buenos personajes, fuertes y carismáticos dando vida a la historia. Y en "Glory" son todos ellos. Especialmente el personaje de Hou Minghao, su evolución a lo largo de la serie es impresionante. La expresividad de este actor es maravillosa. Además imprime a sus personajes de su carisma y encanto personal innatos. Guli Nazha, tambien hace un buen papel como Rong Shanbao.Los decorados y localizaciones de la serie, principalmente la plantación de té, me encantaron.
Los vestidos desde los suntuosos de los ricos, hasta los más sencillos, son magníficos.
Todo en esta serie está cuidado al detalle. Toda una delicia.
