SBS gave us two old-school romcoms with Would You Marry Me and this one back-to-back ☺️

Yes, it’s pretty clear from foreshadowing that ML’s supposed bride (that his dad is forcing him to marry) and FL’s neighbor/fake husband are going to be a couple.

May only get flashbacks until the truth comes out 😳😥

My money is on Ep. 8 or 9. Hopefully, by that point they will reconcile and unite against his dad & his sister.

FL’s sister will get redemption. ML’s sister (and father) will end up in jail or something 🤣

I don’t think we’ve had too many good romcoms this year, right? There was Love Scout (great! but not pure romcom) and now Would You Marry Me and this show.

It’s pretty clear the two couples are going to be ML+FL and ML’s bride-to-be + FL’s fake-husband. But I hope this misunderstanding doesn’t last too long (1-2 weeks?) and soon our leads will be united in pursuit of taking over the company from Evil Dad and Evil Sister.

I think 2FL genuinely likes ML but — as part of her job — she’ll meet 2ML (single dad) and will fall in love with him. ML promised his dad to marry 2FL (for business reasons) and FL is fake-married to 2ML, so this may qualify as quadrangle, but neither ML nor FL have eyes for anyone else.

The funny thing is that in this drama the ex probably isn’t even going to play a part outside of Episodes 1 & 2. Plot-wise, there’s no reason for him to be there. But I’m sure we will see FL’s sister, her husband and people trying to collect money.

Are there really a lot of comments about that? If anything, there’s not enough of pure romcoms being made. It may only seem that way because SBS is airing Would You Marry Me and this drama back-to-back (well, WYMM ends this week, so technically there’s an overlap).

I really hope in Ep. 3 they give a good explanation for why she has to hide the truth from him. From the outside it seems he would agree to hide her secret. The guy is in love 😁🥰

That Ex has united everyone — everyone hates his with a passion. But unlike Grandma in My Dearest Nemesis, I don’t see a good ending for him 🙄

Yes, it’s only been 2 episodes but we can already tell who the two main couples are going to be and can already figure out main plot points/obstacles for heroes to overcome.

P.S. Would You Marry Me is another old-school romcom like that. It’s almost done airing :)

I haven’t started Typhoon Family yet but it’s on my list :)

I’m now rewatching TFF and it’s even better when you know the backstory completely. Where did you stop? Mom in TFF is worse than those others because she not only abandons FL to be raised by relatives, she flat out ignores FL’s pleas to take her back from aunt’s family after multiple incidents of a VERY BAD person on aunt’s side attempting to do very bad things to the FL. I’m very glad they told the story in flashbacks because it’s so heartbreaking to watch. FL’s mom was so bad, this is one of the rare dramas where there was no forgiveness or reconciliation.

But you know what I mean — in dramas it only takes one try for a baby to be conceived 😳😁🤣

I really hope they find a good explanation/reason for her continuing to lie to him. Let’s be honest, I feel like he’d not fire her and would keep her secret. The guy is in love 😍
