All the hate is just noise. It was the biggest Disney+ K-drama debut. In Korea Episode 6 got 11.2 nationwide ranking (highest so far) and MBC even re-airing episodes 1-6 ahead of episode 7.
But we can help stop the haters a bit by downvoting clearly troll/hater reviews and upvoting reviews from real people.

In addition to what others said, it’s all about protecting current status — of her son as the king and her as Queen Mother. She knows the prince is super popular and fears that he may decide to take the throne one day, especially since he’s already a regent as acting as a king’s stand-in for many events. And her fears aren’t misplaced because ML told FL that he wants the throne.

Maybe after their third kid is born? What the royal rules? 🤣

She’s thinking correctly — she lost the battle but not the war. So she’s looking for other way to control the prince.

The actress is doing such a great job, I lowkey hope that she’s not the ultimate bad person and maybe can let go of her ambitions, become a regular mom and give her son a normal childhood 🙏

I hope they at least release her song this time unlike Hotel Del Luna where her song lives on only in the actual drama and fan edits on YouTube 🙏

This is exactly what the drama is attempting to show — that royals have status/prestige, but no money (chaebols) or power (politicians). That’s why Queen Mother’s dad has to resort to criminal ways (if indeed it was him) to get what they want. Because they know that there’s no way for them to compete fairly. And that’s why they wanted to marry the prince off to a mediocre family (to maintain some control over him). But now that he’s getting married to a mega wealthy woman, it’s a great threat because she can help him financially in his attempts to claim the throne.

The King is #1 in their version of the monarchy and The Prince is #1.5 because he’s acting as a regent for underaged king. But, in short, Queen Mother wants to make sure The Prince doesn’t try to get on the throne himself which would meant the child would not longer be the king & she’d not be the queen mother. So it’s about maintaining grip on power/status.

She’s so oblivious to his advances 🤣

She realized she was outsmarted. You can’t hide an event that happened in front of everyone (including press) and especially since ML smartly got the king involved.

You are welcome! Many people must have been missing epilogues because in Episode 6 they showed before next week’s preview (episode ended, we got still photo montage and then epilogue).

Light to the Night is supposed to be a really interesting detective drama. Just started airing on Saturday

Apparently there was a massive attack by antis/haters of FL combined with an attack by unstable supporters of WuWu couple who somehow decided to downrank the drama because they felt WuWu CP didn’t get enough screen time 🙄🙄🙄

I thought that maybe she just sent them downstairs to their quarters but maybe you are right. Don’t know if I’d trust only an autopilot without some crew around, but hey, it’s a drama not a documentary :)

The actor said that the character started liking her in ep. 4. Obviously, he kind of liked her in school too, but he wasn’t pining for her all these years (otherwise, he’d not have refused to see her 100 times). So the actor said it was ep. 4 when real feelings started to develop.

In essence, that’s what is really is — the royals are just figureheads supported by the state.
