Wow, I'm glad I came across this drama from a post. It is beautifuly written and well acted story and setting. I'm watching it on Hulu, with Eng subtitles, and honestly, that makes it more profound. I've been watching International series/dramas for the past 15 years or more, the last 10 mostly kdrama and cdramas, and as an English speaker, I am used to reading subtitles, to the point, I don't realize I don't understand the language. . Even when the subtitles are subpar, but in this case, it helped to hone in on the difficulty in communication this couple had to overcome in their beginnings. Of course, a part of that is the way Hulu presents them. I had to keep moving my screen up and down to read them. Anyway, I felt I was right there, experiencing their emotions first hand, wanting to hold their hands in some parts, kick them in others........So moving............I will re-watch, and hope it is picked up by Viki.....their subtitles are the best:)

Title The Dark Romance Spoiler
This is an intense, Hitchcock-like dark drama. Part psychological, part crime, part mystery, thriller , it keeps you sucked in, trying to figure it out and put all the pieces together.....then dragging you along hoping , the "end will justify the means".....but hitting you deep in your psyche. I'm at a point in the story where the FL has finally found, what we hope is the light at the end of her dark tunnel, but realizing that the ML, who we hoped was a savior, may actually be the Devil. Worse still, after starting this drama, I came across a news article, which, although not following the exact script, made me realize the story has a real life base for it. https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2026/03/world/expose-rape-assault-online-vis-intl/

This starts out slow, at first seems like a lot going on, not sure where it's leading, but then each episode starts stringing things together. It's like watching an old noir crime film, with some Hitchcock thrown in...Great acting....Im only on 7th episode, but definitely hooked.

Title Miss King Spoiler
At first, I wasn't sure if I liked this drama. It's dark and depressing, but obviously, the acting , directing and production are so well done, I have been pulled into the story and have been trying to hold off watching another episode until I can watch more than one at a time. I am invested in Asuka being able to exact her revenge, by taking down her father, whose treatment of her and her mother is deplorable and to me, inhumane. I am rooting for her to not only prove she's better and win the Shogi title against him, but also let the world know what a deadbeat, disgusting man he was/is , and the woman he left them for and her family, too.

This is available on Viki.com...........I was drawn to it from the synopsis on Viki and then because one of the main actresses is Zhao Li Ying, whom I first saw in "Princess Agents". Viki has the best Sub's in any language so if you can, watch it there.
