Lee Yeon look so much like Kim Min Seok. For a moment, I thought they are siblings in real life.
She kind of looks like a female version of Song Joong-ki if he were a woman

I've honestly been avoiding this comment section ever since I started watching this. I didn't want it to kill…
Exactly that’s what surprised me too people can dislike episode 11, but the way some suddenly started acting like the entire drama was always terrible feels really overdramatic to me

we don't get the bl plots anymore... that's quite disappointing
Well this drama was never really promoted as a BL in the first place I think people got confused because the FL writes BL stories, but the actual romance in the drama itself is still straight

I honestly agree. People have every right to dislike the direction episode 11 took, but acting like one episode suddenly erases all the emotional build-up, performances, cinematography, and good moments from the previous episodes feels really exaggerated to me. The drama definitely has flaws, but the reactions lately feel much harsher than the actual quality of the show

Title Soul Mate Spoiler
Hmmm done with e02 and plot still feels boring and all . does it get better?
In my opinion it does get more emotional and engaging later on, but the drama keeps the same slow and subtle style throughout, so it really depends on whether that kind of storytelling works for you

Honestly, I never thought I’d reach a point where I actually want this drama to end faster just so the constant hate toward IU and Byeon Woo-seok finally stops. The amount of negativity surrounding this drama has become genuinely exhausting and sad to watch.

I completely understand that not everyone will like the plot, especially after episode 11 since that seems to be where many viewers suddenly turned against the drama, but I personally still find the story emotional and engaging. A plot changing direction, becoming heavier, slower, or more bittersweet does not automatically make it “bad.” Not every drama is supposed to stay predictable or satisfy everyone’s expectations.

What confuses me the most is how quickly criticism of the story turned into personal attacks against the actors themselves. Whether people like the writing or not, IU and Byeon Woo-seok have honestly been giving some of their strongest performances here in my opinion. Since the beginning, I’ve felt their acting, emotional delivery, and chemistry only kept improving more and more with each episode.

At this point, it feels less like genuine criticism and more like people decided beforehand that they wanted to hate this drama, and now every episode just becomes another reason to attack it no matter what it does

Why are the ratings so high? There really wasnt a unique episode or anything that would make this inetresting…
not everyone looks for the same things in a drama

I am still curious as to why Byeon Woo Seok and IU chose this script (There is nothing new in the name of the…
Personally I think actors sometimes choose projects because they connect emotionally with the story or want to try something different, not just because it’s the safest or most commercially obvious choice. Not every comeback project has to be another “blockbuster” in the exact same style

Title Double Helix
The acting is bad then you’re saying the plot is interesting what!
Yeah but this is still a drama adaptation at the end of the day if the acting and execution don’t work for someone, then the original book plot alone won’t magically make the show enjoyable

It’s always the people who claim they can’t stand Byeon Woo-seok spending the most time talking about him…
Personally I think you’re taking normal entertainment industry behavior way too seriously. Co-stars promoting projects together, being friendly, holding hands at events, fanservice, or fans making edits/ships literally happens with actors everywhere, not just him. You can dislike his acting or not enjoy his dramas, that’s completely fine, but calling him “disgusting” or acting like he’s corrupting the world because of normal celebrity interactions feels really excessive to me. At some point it stops sounding like criticism and starts sounding more personal than the situation actually is

You should try the original audio with subtitles instead, the emotions and acting feel way more natural that way
I think those are their real voices, but they’re speaking Cantonese instead of the Mandarin Chinese most people are used to hearing in dramas, so it can sound a bit unusual at first and make the voices feel off
