I think you could try Prisoner of Beauty (same director), or Pursuit of Jade (it also has this high-budget, high-level…
Yeah, you should give it try. Definitely won't regret it. For me personally, I got hooked since ep. 1 and got more hooked so hard in ep. 4 π₯Ή.
Honestly, it's also rare for me to have any drama title I've watched that have similar quality to this drama (this drama is so good, and the 'zero-to-hero' thingy is kinda scarce resource π₯Ή), but I think you could try to watch "Joy of Life" (kinda zero-to-hero, eventho the MC has proper background), Flourished Peony (high-budget, high-quality drama, kinda zero-to-hero but the focus is on the FL as a merchant), The Double, or Blossom too for similar reference
WHAT ZHAO LING KILLED LE DAHU WHAT WHAT WHAT. I'm so shocked that actually happened. I'm in so disbelief, why…
I think it's understandable. The case of killing people bcs "stealing a wife" is justifiable in that era, and the society wouldn't reprimand him (he would be seen as a proper and heroic man for protecting his people instead).
Also, in the drama it also been mentioned that falsifying military achievement (in Lu Dahu case, he is killing the common people) will be punished by death sentence. So, his killing here is justified.
I was also kinda surprised when he reallly did killed him tho. Bcs, in most idol drama, the ML would just threatened like that and keep the bish living to show that the ML is 'benevolent' kinda thingy character, but in here they're not doing that thing.
Imo The director portrayed Zhao Ling character really good here by having him really killed that bstrd with that kind of scary atmosphere and aura. It really suits his background and personality the drama has built up so far.
yo can any novel reader spoil me wtf is ep 18 preview cause i am actually going insane thank you
I think the course of this drama is vastly different in many details, but still retain the same big picture as the novel (idk how to explain it). So there's many new case, new/reduced character, new plot being implemented, but so far it's still follow the bigger picture, but we can't really see what's gonna happen next in the drama in details.
I'm thinking about starting this drama because it seems interesting. Do you guys recommend? Can you maybe tell…
I think you could try Prisoner of Beauty (same director), or Pursuit of Jade (it also has this high-budget, high-level producing quality like this drama)
I am getting whiplashes watching the drama. How can the director and screenwriter mix up the characters so much?…
It's just common occurence for the scriptwriter to not taking the entire thing in the novel into the drama. Drama have limited threshold in terms of duration, explanation through audio-visual approachβwhile novel doesn't, they could explain everything freely in narration.
For me personally, I prefer the drama more rather than the novel tbh. It's neater.
Can someone tell if itβs strictly legal with all of the focus on the cases or is it cases and personal life…
cases + personal life of the leads, but the leads life is pretty peaceful enough as far as I watched (idk how abt the future plot). It's kinda like SoL and pretty peaceful, refreshing, and relaxing to watch.
Didn't expect myself to truly love this drama. I'm usually more into historical dynasty and rarely watch another genre, but this drama somehow defy all my usual taste lol.
At first, I only watch it bcs I want to see Changning but ended up getting hooked up in this drama
I am already done but before that, can someone explain to me below (put spoilers) the whole story of the massacre…
(Drama Version) In my understanding, Wei Yan's troops was going back to Jinzhou bcs of the letter from Concubine Shu (his sweetheart) that was forged by the Late Emperor. . This series of misfortune (Lady Shu becames concubine, then later framed to infidelity, Chengde CP killed, and Wei Yan almost being ostracized for that) bcs of Wei Yan slip of tongue while drunk and Li Taifu report it to the Late Emperor, so the Emperor scheme against him. . He is still considered sinful bcs eventho he was currently carrying important duties (bringing war grains and was going to help Xie Linshan + Chengde CP) he was still prioritizing to attends to his personal issue rather than the people's. He also shift the blame to the loyal minister and make them gain sinful reputation (which makes their descendants automatically suffer). In later date after the tragedy, it was hinted in the drama that Wei Yan also use people's + warrior's life only as a chesspiece for the 'greater good, In short, he alr killed many innocent with no remorse.
Are you serious? You will avoid watching dramas with the second leads because their face left a bitter taste for…
It's their risk tho. They chose and agreed to play that character, so they must be aware of the consequences. And I was just ranting my own opinion.Like, if you know someone dear to you or even yourself experiencing the kinda manipulative and SA situation and the act is being 'hyped up' and 'romantisized' (while in reality it actually could drive a person into madness) only a saint would feel nothing towards the subject that 'parade' the act.
