I think iqiyi is saving it's money because they know without any promotion he is going to bring lots of profit for them. Seriously, I can't forget how they released 7 express episodes, I was so mad about that and now only in 5 days they finished the entire drama. I am always mad at iqiyi as he brings revenue for them but inturn he gets treated badly like this. Not to mention how they ruined TDHR's ending, that's something unforgettable. 🥲

Wow 16 episodes covered everything is something that is amazing. The part where you said that you were trying to find mistakes in the drama made me laugh because you seem like those strict professors who try to find flaws in student's project work.😆

I am definitely gonna watch this (of course I won't skip RJL's dramas) but currently my study life is so hectic that I am not in the mood for something heavy. I just hope I will get my mood back soon so that I can watch it. Anyways, I will be waiting for your full detailed review (However, I will be reading it once I am done watching). 😊

No, you need not watch the prequel to understand Forever and Ever as it's a standalone drama, though they are connected.

I completely agree with you.💯 Getting dramas broadcasted during the prime time is something remarkable for an actor. He definitely deserves that. I love the fact how he doesn't hype things and do promotions how much it is required. He doesn't need to do unnecessary promotions as his works speak for himself.

I hope he gets more and more quality projects like this. Also, I am curious when he will start filming and l am also exited to see what projects he is gonna choose next.

I recently read that The Blue Whisper got more than 50 million views per episode. That's pretty amazing. His plus point is that his dramas are so good that they always have a strong long tail effect.

The new characters which were introduced in the last episodes have seperate dramas of theirs. Yuan Zhong has his own drama called A Moment but Forever and Painter Qi has his own drama, Love of Thousand Years. These two dramas are connected to the Fate Chooses You because they happen in the same universe but different timeline.

So the timeline order of these dramas are as follows:
1) Fate Chooses You
2) A Moment but Forever
3) Love of Thousand Years.

So I don't think there will be season 2 for FCY.

Yes there will be many things happening later and yeah something big is going to happen. So you can continue watching but if you feel like you are forcing yourself to watch then you can drop it.

Just completed watching the first episode and l love it so far. I really loved the wedding scene especially I got goosebumps when Ye Li walked towards the carriage and that BGM matched very well. Let's hope it continues well like this.

Do you mean painter Qi? He is an immortal deity Fu Jiu Yun and he is looking for his lover who is a mortal. Fu Jiu Yun has his own drama called Love of Thousand Years and it belongs to the same universe as Fate Chooses You. If you are interested you can watch that.

This is the only drama where I loved all the side characters. Everyone's acting was on point and all of them were somehow linked to the leads and the main plot so it wasn't boring or it didn't feel like they had nothing to do in the story. So I am ok with they all sharing the screentime.

I am happy with the douban rating increasing to 6.9. For me, it deserves 7 and maybe a bit more as the writing is soo good. I hope many can appreciate this and I hope the rating will increase because this drama truly deserves that.

Yes, if it's a contract ending drama the agency will not treat that actor in a good way since that person will be leaving. I agree with the fact he got barely few amount of screentime during the last few episodes. This thing exactly happened in his other contact ending drama that is Love and Crown. There too he barely appeared in few episodes despite of being ML. I too thought this would be a male centric one but it is not unfortunately.

I just wished they could have shown more about what happened to him after being a perfect war demon instead of just showing Mei searching him. They gave a good ending for other characters but they didn't spend good time to give satisfying ending for our leads 🥲.

I do think he got some of the good fighting scenes here especially in the starting and the middle of the drama when he was loosing his powers he had to put more efforts (we saw how he was using his sword) it's that in the climax since he became too strong, the scene was short.

As for A Sheng and Xin Mei, they weren't powerful as Xia Xuanzi so they had to fight for the long time so the scene looked long.

Agree with the fact that ML didn't get much screentime.This is one of the Ren Jialun's contract ending dramas so it's understandable why he didn't get much focus as his agency tried to promote other actors using his name and that's why we got to see so many characters here.

The reason why ML could easily and effortlessly defeat Li Mofu in the end was because he was a perfect war demon. Perfect war demons have enormous power and his opponent was no match for him as he was just a cultivator not any god so that's why he could easily defeat him.

He did kissing scenes if the script really needed like for example in TDHR which was released last year he did.

Just for your information, this drama wasn't picked by him instead he was forced to act here as this is one of his contract ending dramas.

The score is good because in douban usually xianxias get lower score like from 5 to 6. There are few that gets a good score. 6.8 is not bad at all.
