I've come this far, so I know I don't find the drama boring. But I still don't know how to feel about the chemistry or the romance. Like their relationship has grown but their love story hasn't. It feels like both of them had their hormones removed. Half the drama is already over...

I second the awkward expression. In FOF, she used to make the same expression during crying or emotional scenes and I couldn’t tell whether she was supposed to be sad or being sarcastic😭

So you’re someone who’s never had siblings. If you did, you’d know the dynamic between two sisters, two brothers, a brother and sister, cousins, adoptive siblings and adoptive cousins are all completely different from each other. Adoptive cousins can feel no different from unrelated people

Overall, it was a good watch. For a 12 episode drama, they wrapped up the political plot in about one and a half episodes, which I think worked well. Their height diffrence totally giving manhwa vibes. BWS is the perfect fit to play every romcom manhwa adaption

My only complaint was the ending. They had so much time, both leads were basically unemployed for three years. They could’ve at least shown a baby or something😭 since I’m sure most viewers wanted that

That’s my point. Both are villains but people tend to hate one while excusing the other. I don’t think the Queen Mother was betrayed by her father here. They both share the same interests. Qimin had a more compelling storyline than just being betrayed by his father.

There are so many people on Twitter saying, She’s aqueen, she can do no wrong, which is funny because Qimin was hated there the most. Honestly, I don’t even hate either of them that much. The one who really annoys me is the PM. He’s the worst and a very typical SML who’s now turning into a betrayer too.

The real world works differently for women and the internet works differently for men. People are hypocrite everywhere.
When I was watching POJ, people hated Qimin so much. But now Daebi Mama literally wanted to set fire to her son’s room and he was so terrified that he blocked the door with furnitures yet the same people will still find excuses to defend her, acting like it’s some form of women’s empowerment, when in reality both characters are just power hungry and Daebi mama doesn’t even have any backstory for even a lil bit justification

These young actors all entered the industry hoping to become popular/ high traffic stars. Calling them with no traffic isn’t a good thing. It’s actually one of the worst kinds of digs.

The difference between Linghe and Xiwei in normal paparazzi videos during filming and their OFFICIAL behind the scenes clips was quite surprising😭 They were totally colleagues in normal videos. Maybe that’s why I never really bought into it.

Tbh, ZLH seems quite introverted in offscreen videos, which can make him come across as aloof. The only time I’ve seen him act more relaxed was in his drama with Bai Lu, probably because he wasn’t as famous back then. Now if he gets close with an actress, his fans tend to attack them and in return, he also gets backlash.

It’s similar to what I saw with Deng Kai and Kong Xueer. They were getting along even before and they seemed even closer during their newer drama shoot both in paparazzi videos and official behind the scene videos. But once actors become super popular, their behavior naturally becomes more cautious.

I see a similar pattern with Linghe and Wang Churan in this drama. They just seem like normal colleagues, not even slightly like friends. I’m curious about the official bts footage. If they suddenly act overly affectionate there, it would honestly be funny😭

It feels like they become their normal selves while filming but as soon as the BTS cameras come on, they switch into a different personality.That contrast becomes so obvious that the ship starts feeling less interesting.

The kissing in episode 12’s bed scene was really a let down. It barely even counts as a peck. Their lips hardly touched😭

I mean I don’t want to blame anyone. Some of my favorite couples in Cdramas also had very little screen time. I just wanted to know whether they were cast as second leads or not.

If they were main leads, then the show really did them dirty in terms of screen time but hopefully the pay was equal. So I guess it’s still a win for them.

What was the billing situation for this drama? Du Ling and Joseph Wang barely even had scenes, either as a couple or individually. I thought it was a four lead ensemble but they were mostly treated like a second couple instead

I mean, he could play a comic character or something like that but this role needed someone with a stronger, more commanding aura. The female demons are so mesmerizing that he ends up looking underwhelming in comparison as a demon hunter. I was hoping for someone more charming

watched the first episode. Everyone looks perfect in their roles except Wu Shi Guang. They should’ve cast someone handsome. I can’t see the chemistry between him and either of the female characters

Deng Kai’s letter to Qianqian was so heart-touching. I have a feeling I would’ve totally hated Qimin if I’d read the novel. It was Deng Kai’s performance and deep understanding of the character that made him interesting
