hou minghao touched on it a bit in his interview with media on weibo on the 23rd of January 2025, mentioning using fenghouqimen and luanjianduo a couple of times made wangye more tired than the first season. so it actually makes sense story-wise; plus it is adapted from the animation.

we’re just happy with the amount of screen time he gets just from 3 days of shooting. I didn’t expect he would pump out this many scenes! such a professional! I was so glad to see the bts showing how great he was on the wire stunts

honestly the first time I watched chinese dramas, that’s what I thought.. but I think it is because of cultural differences.. they have so many people living there and so I think sometimes they wanted to show scope or how big the world is, sometimes the world isn’t just about the main protagonists, other people play a part too in the story, albeit very little.. it does affect the story a little, or help with the worldbuilding

for the record, I’ve always liked monkeys before, so when I came across xiao hou zi it was just meant to be. there’s nothing to dislike about him really 🤣 such an inspiring person

I was scrolling around weibo before this hashtag became viral. I think it should be for the Lunar New Year Special.. in the same post it mentioned other artists for other cities like chongqing and stuff.. but it wasn’t updated in the official taoyuan schedule, I guess they didn’t want people to crowd over them it would be so troublesome

It’s been three years since I watched and I’m still listening to the OSTs

I loved how pure the character of Bailidongjun is depicted here. It really is a story about youth. People who comment negatively forgets that they’re talking about characters that would be as young as highschoolers or university students here. The positive energy that BLDJ gives is really contagious and uplifting! I love that it reminds me to stay postive and energized too! Such a moodbooster!!

This drama is one I can watch over and over again without getting bored. The OSTs are also one of the best! Wishing it can get more popular in time ♥️
