Shen Chang was raised by a strong, brave woman, and because of her influence as his parent, he was ready to sacrifice everything to ensure she'd have a happy life with A'Xun.
I think that's him we see at the end of the series. He may have a different name, but I don't think he disappeared from existence. IMO he was adopted by someone else instead of Ye Hai Tang.
IMO a lot of the PV stuff is way over the top, even for me, a former science teacher. However, it does serve to allow our FL to 'shine' (pardon the pun) as an intellectually gifted woman who is capable of learning about, understanding, and applying many different aspects of the science, engineering, and technology involved, as well as the cost analysis necessary to planning such installations. I'm so tired of watching FLs who aren't allowed to be brilliant because they might appear to be smarter than their ML counterparts. Xi Guang is intelligent and isn't afraid to let people know that, and Yu Shen encourages her to go even farther in her studies. To me that's one of the best parts of this drama.
I'm about 2/3 through and I'm enjoying it. For me it's a calm, relaxing series. It may not set the world on fire as far as the plot goes, but I like that the main characters actually talk to each other about stuff. I've watched many dramas where I'm thinking "JUST TELL HIM/HER WHAT YOU'RE FEELING!" but that's not going on much here. I think the lack of communication from the SML is going to cause him to lose out on getting what he wants.
I have been able to watch it in spurts so I can give myself a break from the intense sadness but in the long run, I'll be glad to make it through until the end..
So I came back tot he forum to see how things are going and it looks like people are getting really nitpicky to…
I like that the script writer didn't make our female lead perfect. To me, that makes her a lot more believable. So she makes mistakes and then learns from them. ,,good for her! That's what intelligent people do! I've also enjoyed the tech aspects but I realize that's not everyone's cup of tea.
Their relationship is written as a natural progression, and it seems a lot of people want more fireworks...but that's not how real life works. They'll get there eventually.
I know some people think this series is boring but I'm enjoying it. In real life, people usually take their time to get to know someone before making any sort of commitment. FL was honest with ML about still having feelings for someone else. He said he'd wait for her to decide. Both of them have fairly mature attitudes, considering it's an idol drama.
Anyway, if people think it's boring then they shouldn't watch it. Find something else to enjoy instead of spending time picking arguments with people who are having a good time watching this.
I am on the ep3, why doesn't the teacher ask them "are you okay" or "what is going on tell me"…
I think during that time frame child abuse wasn't reported as often as it is today. A'Tang says she doesn't have any relatives to defend her, and the school administrators were more likely to believe adults instead of children. Those things don't make it right, of course, but I think it's probably realistic for the time period being portrayed as 1991.
Maybe I am strange but I tried Shine on Me and I dropped it after two episode . It was boring... But This one…
Different people like different things. I'm enjoying SOM, even the technical parts, but if it's not for you, find something you like better. That's why they make so many dramas, right?
was Mobius good? It's in my ptw. I have high hopes for that one. And this one too.
I loved Mobius. I think you have to take it for what it is. It's not really meant to be a police procedural IMO. There are some weird elements to it, but I found it fascinating.
unpopular opinion apparently, i found the 2 ep, 14/15 quiet boring... i don't enjoy dramas where you become an…
Gu Man often puts science and technology info in her stories, like the rocket science stuff she wrote into You Are My Glory. I think those things are interesting but I can see how it'd be easy to choose to skip those details.
Has this been shelved because of some concerns about the behaviors of some of the supporting cast? I can't think of any other logical reason to explain why it hasn't been released.
There's more romance for the second couple (and for the pheasants) than with the first couple...
I suppose it depends on what you consider romance to be. She doesn't really act like she's into him, at least not as much as he is into her. He's getting ready to go on a life threatening mission and she doesn't even kiss him goodbye. (Yes I know the actress has a no kissing thing.) IMO there needed to be a little bit more affection between our two main leads. But that's just how I saw it.
To be honest, I probably won't watch much of this because I'm not fond of the genre, but the opening theme song rocks! Liu Yuning did a great job with it!
