I can’t believe Hana ended up forgiving that pos witch An Suhui. she doesn’t even deserve to be called a mother.…
Sometimes it's easier on your own soul to deliberately forgive someone, no matter how awful they are, and then move on with your own life without looking back. If you hold on to the anger and pain, it wears you down over time, and it can even affect your physical health. Forgive them and be done with them forever.
That being said, I wish they'd normalize Kdrama parents being kind and supportive for their children. That way we wouldn't have to wish for retribution.
I am so glad you are defining "romance" as anything that shows romantic feeling between the characters.…
I feel the same way when people say actors don't have chemistry, meaning there isn't a lot of skinship. Chemistry can come from the way the characters look at each other and respond to each other. That can be so much more 'romantic' than some wild lovemaking scene.
Story has so much potential. I get that it's slow burn but I was still hoping for swoon-worthy chemistry when…
The chemistry is definitely not explosive but I think it's there. To me it's obvious the two main leads are attracted to each other but their family situation is weird, plus it seems dating during high school is frowned upon in some places. ML is awkward because he never had time for girls since he was supporting his family.
I feel the same too. Soo Bin seems to be living in a cookie cutter theoretical sense of romance world (play the…
I can almost imagine him as a teenager who's thinking, "when I have a girlfriend, I'm going to do everything for her! She'll never have to worry about anything, because I'll take care of her." That's not realistic nor is it healthy, but IMO it would be a realistic response to his situation with his family.
I haven't watched the whole thing yet, so please don't flame me, but....
Since our ML's father is abusive to his family, the ML may not really understand all of the ins and outs of a romantic relationship. It could be he's making a lot of mistakes (of all kinds) because he doesn't know any better. Now, should he be learning from those mistakes? Definitely, but that takes time and also patience on the part of the FL.
I think a lot of viewers want 'perfect' leading characters right from the beginning, but real people make mistakes. That's how they change and grow.
I may change my mind about how the story is written as I get further. Who knows? Maybe I made a mistake, too.
This is probably one of Haein's worst characters ever, don't get me wrong i'm not talking about his acting he…
I think she decided not to get back together with her fiance' because she was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle her deep depression if she had a recurrence of her cancer. I looked it up...the recovery rate from stage 2 stomach cancer after 5 years is about 70%, so there'd be a chance that it flare up again. He had trouble dealing with how depressed she was after her treatments the first time, and she assumes he'd have the same reaction if the cancer shows up again. Of course, as viewers we know that's probably an over the top reaction but this is a Kdrama. I also wonder if he was the one who told her co-workers that she had stomach cancer, since they were people he knew. Maybe she felt that he had betrayed her. Just my point of view....

I haven't finished it yet, but from what I can tell about our ML, his parents have an awful marriage and I think because of that, he doesn't communicate well at all. But you're right...at times our ML character is insufferable.
The surprising part is that those who knew them quickly realized they switched places, while those who didn’t…
I think it shows that those who knew about the switch cared about them deeply as individuals with distinct personalities. In that way the series shows the difference between superficial interactions and caring interactions.
I enjoyed it. I thought the acting was top notch. It does take a bit of imagination to accept that adult twins could trade places and people wouldn't notice but I suppose that was the point: nobody in the office wanted to have anything to do with Mi-Rae. I'd give it an 8.5.
I'm having trouble getting through the first episode! Our hero leaves his brother with a man who saves them in the forest, and then in scene just a few minutes later , he accosts our heroine in town, wanting to know where the bad guys have taken his brother! Did something happen off screen that we didn't see? It's very confusing, and the editing has made it difficult for me to enjoy the story! I'll probably try to continue, but this choppy action doesn't bode well for the rest of the series.
mbc should release a statement saying it's not the actors fault! this is crazy, prominent actors should take notes…
I just came here to say the same thing! The actors are responsible for how they present the story, not for the way it's written! The director and producer should have hired someone to make sure everything was done the proper way. How would the average person even know about those details?
Duuuudeee i didnt know his brother was actually dead until the last ep
I kind of suspected it when the brother said all he wanted to do was lay around and read...and then his parents never mention the brother when they have meals with the ML.
I think I can relate well to the younger couple's story because I am the same age as they would be now., if they were real. I was a teenager/young adult in the 70s, and if things went well for them, they'd be in their late 60s or early 70s just like me.
Was Xu Hong Qi replaced in her position as leader of the factory because of her ties to the old regime?
She's not the most likeable character but I could relate to how she felt when she lost her position. After spending so long at her job and then being demoted in front of everyone would be a bitter pill to swallow. I know she still has a job, but still...it's hard to accept.
