He wasn’t okay in a head after what happened between him and Fang Chi. Overall GZ let many men to have sex with him and it reads sometimes as dubious consent bc he wasn’t okay. It’s very hard to read. Fang Chi also did it with him until GZ was physically hurt (there was blood) Sorry if I told too much details
Many people are triggered be cheating already which was mild compared to what is about to happen. i wonder how much chaos the further episodes will cause because oh boy if they followed the novel ....people will be cursing left and right. I cant wait for interesting discussions (of course it will be very mature - no) about SA victims and their sex life after. I hated Revenged Love, To My Shore and Double Helix with passion and till very recently thought Chinese bl werent fo me as all these popular bls have the blackest main lead for whom we as an audience are supposed to root for. They were just unredeemable in my eyes plus the nature of main couples have non-consent elements in its core. I really started to give up and question my sanity why so many people hype those shows Journey with You had open me door that after all chinese bls can be good.
And now very surprisingly im enjoying watch Deep In, tho it has very obvious dub con i just get used to it in chinese media ig. At least i hope main character felt some remorse in the morning for what he had done the night before
