How did Wen die? Did he end himself?

I don’t like how the ending was rushed. They dropped hints but brushed them off as if everyone knows about historical events in China. What happened that Yi looked so broken when she met the son and why did the son say that his daughter will not have Wen’s last name?

I’m having a hard time finding interest in the 3rd arc 😬.

The story will feel suffocating if you are not used to the communist ways. I felt frustrated because the behavior was new to me. It seems that others who are used to seeing the way are ok with it? I still pushed through to watch, I’m curious about the third arc.

Yi and Wen’s romance is so cute 🥹, I caught myself smiling a few times.

Second story is not bad, the problem was the constipated trio who made the second arc unbearable. I was having a good time on episode 19 until I saw his face with his glasses come back on episode 20 then remembered to be pissed off.

It’s hard for me to grasp tbh. I tried to look for neutral resources to understand the political ideology but it’s hard to find. I find extreme ends of the opinions on that matter. I think it’s one of those situations that you have to live to understand and your background will weight on the decision which way you lean. My brain just can’t comprehend.
