You literally said everything I thought when I first saw this show🫩 The fact that you finished episode one deserves respect because I couldn’t even make it past five minutes before turning off my TV.

The storyline and execution just didn’t work for me at all, and honestly, your 1.5 rating feels quite generous😪

Exactly 😹 I didn’t want to outrightly say he’s not the brightest character because I like to give characters the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully, he improves as the story goes on. And yeah, I’d also be very disappointed if the ending doesn’t deliver, but for now, I do think it’s worth watching.

Runch’s mother dislikes Neen because of how she views their relationship. She believes that because Neen comes from an extremely wealthy family, people will assume everything Runch has achieved was simply handed to her, especially since she works at Neen’s uncle’s company. But that completely ignores the fact that Runch worked hard for her position and earned her success. She also seems to struggle with the idea of her daughter being with someone she sees as having a higher social standing, because she probably wants Runch to be the person who appears “above” in the relationship, at least that’s how I see it. The irony is that this has nothing to do with Neen’s actions, but rather her mother’s own perception of what their marriage represents.

The entire episode I kept thinking, oh my goodness, you’re really going to take him back, right? I was so conflicted, because people in love are just sooooo… but that “come with me, my love”? Yeah. Sealed the deal🫂

Another year, another Only Friends rerun. And it still hits the same. Before Sand even had the chance to stand he had already fallen. There was no saving him. Sand was already gone. And honestly he’s still a personal favorite.

In the scene with Lookplub and Peach, Peach hands her a mug with a camera on it, an obvious merch ad referencing his work as a photographer. If you look at the mug stand in the background, there’s also a mug with a gun on it, which is likely meant to represent Khun Thee. Since Peach has already been shown to be uncomfortable with guns, it feels out of place for that to be in his house. Honestly, it might seem like I’m complaining about nothing, but it doesn’t feel fully thought through. This isn’t on the actors, but on whoever handled the set and prop choices.

Exactly. With the kind of reach they have, they could easily shoot separate content for ads and it wouldn’t make any difference. Instead, it often feels like you’re fully immersed in a serious or emotional scene and then suddenly you’re watching a very obvious product placement. It’s not the presence of ads that’s the issue, it’s how abruptly and heavily they’re inserted. I know this is common in the industry, but it still breaks the tone and pulls you out of the story.

This episode really highlighted how distracting heavy ad placement can be when it isn’t integrated thoughtfully. The show has already established that Peach is uncomfortable with guns, so seeing gun imagery associated with him, even through merch, felt inconsistent and less about the character and more about promotion, as if the placement itself mattered more than whether it made sense within the story. The same issue came up again at the end of the episode. After what was clearly implied to be an intimate night, having Peach wake up the next morning immediately craving cup noodles didn’t make sense and felt like another ad inserted without much consideration for the scene’s emotional flow. Interestingly, the only placement that worked for me was the sulking child and the chips scene, because it actually fit the situation and the characters involved.




I know it’s just a series, but it’s still fair to point out when certain things don’t make sense. 🫩🫩🫩

This Than character is honestly something else. He really was about to chase a man and leave his niece standing there alone. Some may say he was just excited, but shouldn’t a little child you’ve been taking care of for some time now be more important to you? Secondly, the way he called her out for calling him dad in front of the other kids with their own parents, just because he doesn’t want a man to get the wrong idea, was unnecessary. Especially considering her actual dad is dead, that moment must have been hurtful for her. He could have done that later. Finally, he is more focused on this man than on the niece he is supposed to be looking after. Mind you, the man he is paying so much attention to is only focused on his son or what I believe might be his nephew. I am only 22 minutes into episode one, so I cannot say I know the exact details, but these three things really irked me.







The series itself is okay at least, but the character Than, I hope this is not his whole thing.

Actually, you do have a point. I’ve asked this before, and I can’t believe I have to repeat it😪, but if someone isn’t interested in a particular genre, why do they force themselves to watch it? They end up talking down on a show that many people might genuinely enjoy, simply because it isn’t their preference, and then they write a bad review for something they already knew they wouldn’t like.

Personally, when I watch a show, I go into it with an open mind. If it’s not for me, I just drop it. I don’t force myself through it, and I don’t bother talking about it.

The audacity of this man 🫩, talking about “I’ll help you find him”, sorry? And “I want You Shu Lang’s kiss”, I’m sorry… I don’t think that’s how it works partner. 🥸

Oh, I think you should go watch it again, please. And I mean actually calm down to watch it. We all have our interests, of course, but this is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to ask someone to give a series a chance.

Exactly 😹🤲🏻 Two months later and I’m back to respond! I finally finished the series, and wow—amazing, really amazing.

I saw a review criticizing Keng and Namping’s acting. Saying “I’m shocked” doesn’t even cover how shocked I was 😅… but it’s okay. We all have different tastes, and that’s the beauty of it—what doesn’t work for one person can completely work for another. For me, they absolutely brought the characters and story to life.

Oh, I totally understand you! Nothing against The Next Prince, but it’s safe to say they bit off more than they could chew… if you get what I mean. Honestly, you could split that series into five different shows because they tried to cover so much that they ended up losing focus. I expected something a bit different — they had all the elements, but at some point the plot just got lost. I think I paused around episode 8, and I’ll probably finish it later. So far, it just feels like a lot is happening and yet nothing is really happening at the same time.

But as for this series, you should definitely give it a try when you’re ready. At least for now, they’re still doing a good job with the world-building, and I hope it only gets better from here.
