After watching episode 12, I can confirm I fear for XiaLian’s life; I’m not confident she will make it to the end of this drama. The Du chick came in with her own plans; I see, LOL. And they have done a great job getting me to yearn for more of this drama.

Zhao Ling and Fu Ting Yuan live rent-free in the Yu family’s heads. Every scheme they come up with, they’ve successfully counterattacked and managed to survive. The husband and wife really think they’re so strategic. I just want to slap that smug look off Father Yu and Mother Yu. And kick their useless son in the throat so bad. 😭 🥴.

LOL I was thinking the same thing. Because I really want to punch him in the throat so bad 🙄.

That empress and her boy toy are not exactly easy on the eyes and the fact they are both playing evil characters make it’s even worst. Both of them are driving me nuts! And damn Chun Er girl let it go this chick is mentally unstable.

Same, I'm very irritated watching this. I'm not feeling any of the male leads in their role and I came for LYR ughh! This may be my exit after watching episode 5.

I couldn’t finish New Life begins for this very reason. Those annoying ditzy female characters annoys the crap out of me. But the script for this drama I’m able to look past it because I do think this is an incredible drama all around and the whole cast is doing a great job.

Listen, I laughed so much today until I cried because what the heck! I’m still laughing thinking about it. I understand your frustration my friend.

But my friend it’s a valid observation from viewers. We won’t all have the same opinion. I understand your point of view as I did take all of that into consideration before I gave my opinion and it still stands. Looking forward to her character growth though!
